Hostal El Albergue

Habíamos hablado con el encargado para avisar que llegábamos tarde en la madrugada, cuando llegamos no había nadie para abrirnos, finalmente un huesped nos abrio la puerta y después de esperar mas de una hora llegó el encargado y no tenía lugar en las habitaciones que habiamos reservado. Terminamos compartiendo una sola cama y ademas estaba sucia.

Good location. Host is a very interesting person and willing to teach you about Nicaragua and Leon. kichen had little condition. bathrooms quite bads. The worse is that everything is tooooo dirty. looks like it was not cleaned in years. The dirtiest accomodation in our 2 month trip in South America. In the end we change place...

Bathrooms and kitchen a bit dirty and outdated even by centro american standards. Having no hand soap or filtered water is pretty unacceptable at this price point. There are much better values in town.

Slechte communicatie, geen ontbijt gezien, betaald voor een nacht teveel en krijg nu geen gehoor meer, wordt geen Engels gesproken en best viezig. Wel redelijk sociaal, maar ik zou ff verder kijken

El albergue tiene potencial, con suficientes duchas y aseos, y una cocina equipada para preparar tus propias comidas. No hay escaleras para las camas superiores en el dormitorio grande, hay que escalar si no tienes cama de abajo. Habíamos reservado este alojamiento porque en hostelworld ponía que el desayuno estaba incluido. Nos sorprendió que nos dijeran que sólo sirven desayunos durante la temporada alta turística, lo que nos pareció una pena. Aconsejamos que especifiquen en sus condicio...

Eins der schlimmsten Hostels, in denen ich je war. Ein richtiges Loch. Total heruntergekommen. Null Hostel Vibe. Komische Hosts. Katzen laufen die ganze Zeit in der Küche zwischen den Lebensmitteln rum. Wir haben uns gar nicht wohlgefühlt. Keine Empfehlungen!

Extremely run down and dirty hostel. Would never stay again. Bathroom facilities look like they haven’t been cleaned in months, with lots of very old dirt built up. There is one fan in the room, which doesn’t work at all, so at 37 degrees it’s extremely hot! The pillows were old and had lumps inside. Haven’t seen them clean anything during my stay! For the price the service was ok, but not the best you can find. We didn’t have a good experience. It can be difficult to find the place because the doors are always closed and there is no sign to recognise that the building is a hostel. When we arrived there there was no one. The breakfast is also just 2 cookies or toasts with jam and coffee, so it’s not really much. It is supposed to be ready at 8:30 but is really at 9:00. The walls are also damaged and pieces and dirt fall on your bed.

Very nice place, good price. Personal very helpful. They were okay to keep my surf board while i was visiting the countryside.

We stayed here for 2 nights because it was the only option available since we booked the same day as we arrived in Leon. Stayed in a dorm, weird layout and crammed. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen was quite dirty. Also, they say breakfast is included… it is not. You get a cookie of some sort and instant coffee… I would not call that breakfast. If this is the only hostel available I would say it works for a night or two, if you have other options I would go for something else

Great place to stay, I would stay there again rooms felt a bit hot a real fan would’ve been nice.

Die Unterkunft war sehr heimelig, bunt und lieb. Der Besitzer und seine Familie waren sehr kontaktfreudig und bemüht. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit! :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostal el Albergue. If you like a unique place to stay a little bit old school and no mass tourism and with an authentic feel to it this is the place. It felt like home while i was there and a bit nostalgic. Lovely ppl working there and had some great conversations.

The staff were amazing. With my experience it was more of a relaxing and quiet hostel, which was perfect after all the activities I did the week prior

great hostel in the center of Leon. the hosts are very nice and helpful, and arranged for us a shuttle for our next destination. we've been there once and we returned during our trip! worth the money!

Quiet, calm hostel in a great location.

The hostel was nice to stay in. It is really calm though. If you want a few days for yourself to chill and come down this is a good place. I have to admit that the common area wasn‘t that good for chilling. But the staff was friendly and everything was clean.

The Hostal team made me feel very welcome from the first second. It’s a relaxed and chill place – perfect if you looking for a place to relax! I’m really enjoyed staying there!

The hostel is super quiet and a nice relaxing relief after a few days partying at Bigfoot! The staff are super friendly and helped organise a taxi for our 2:30am bus trip. He even got up at 2:30am to check everything went ok. Would reccomend a stay!

The owner is a good man. But the hostel isn't in good care, not clean and pillows smell bad

Sweet Place

A good stay, possibly quiet if you’re after a party or to meet lots of people. But for me there was enough guests so i wasn’t bored and the decoration of the place is very interesting. I’d recomend. Probably in the high season it’s busier aswell.

Alles gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr freundlich und es gibt tolle Sitzbereiche. Ich habe sehr nette Leute getroffen dort und die Besitzer sind auch super nett und helfen einem sehr gerne weiter. Das Hostel ist nicht weit vom Zentrum entfernt und gegenüber gibt es direkt einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Bäckerei.

Das Hostel ist super. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich gleich ein bischen wie zu Hause. Das Hostel ist super eingerichtet alles was man braucht, sehr gute Aufenthaltsbereiche.:)
