The hostess and her family are kind, however, the place is somewhat dilapidated (e.g. much stained and peeling wallpaper). There were multiple dogs off their leash walking through the building, which was disconcerting when we were visited by the dogs while eating and walking the hallways. Kitchen was not clean, and there was hardly any space in the fridge. I would choose another place to stay in Picton, even for the lower price it is not worth the value.

Poor Will not go hack

The bathrooms are kind of gross- total wet bathroom, and they ask you to dry the floor with towels. We got the only room with a lock on it (because we asked for a locking room when the staff told us that no rooms have locks). The walls are thin and the doors have an inch gap at the bottom, so once somebody wakes up, you will too. And the whole building smells like cigarettes from the staff smoking on the deck with the door open. We were disappointed in thisplace, it wasexpensive forwhatw...

Ich war nur für zwei Tage da, es war kostengünstig, die Betreiberin war sehr nett, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Aber insgesamt habe ich mich nicht wohlgefühlt, die Dauermieter, waren irgendwie merkwürdig. Die Einrichtung machte auf mich eher sen Eindruck einer Obdachlosenunterkunft und nicht wie ein Backpaker

Nicci was lovely but the overall atmosphere of the hostel was not nice. The kitchen and living space were dirty. There are 3 resident dogs and a bird which we didn’t mind but not everybody’s cup of tea. Not the place for young backpackers, especially girls on their own.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable, but other than that, i really enjoyed my stay.

Only thing that's worth is the location after a night ride of ferry, the bed is superd uncomfortable as the centre of the mattress is fully sunken and uneven, makes it hard to sleep all night long

The owner was very nice. She seems like the kind of person who can solve any problem. There was free breakfast. The dorm was fine. Not possible to lock the door though. Most of the rooms are private rooms so you probably won't get your typical hostel atmosphere. The location was great, close enough to center, ferry and intercity bus stop.

Nicci the owner was great! I will be back on my return to the ferry.

Nicci was amazing and loved the variety of free breakfast she had for all the guests; highly recommended for the value of money.

Home away from home feel. Staff were excellent, Nicci is a great Host . The cleaners did a great job. Very easy to settle and just enjoy the time , Thank you

Property in a great location and one of the better choices in Picton. However… while owner is super friendly and the property is generally tidy it’s basically just a place to crash; exist and not a highlight of the travels like some hostels can be. Some aspects are requiring significant maintenance and some permanent residents do tend to make the property seem like a half way house.

I really enjoyed this place and was sad I had only booked one night. Nicci is super welcoming and helpful! I felt right at home in general. Everything is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen spacious.

Nicci , the owner is a lovely lady , very very kind & helpful!, location is great max ten minutes walk from ferry , chippy just outside! Had a very nice sleep , I had a private room , bathrooms are great , no complaints would highly recomend!

Super nice staff, free breakfast is offered. I enjoyed the patio out front. I booked a very short time before my stay so there weren't many options for rooms. When I inquired about a female only shared room, they did their best to accommodate me most nights and put up a room divider the one night there was a male in the room which I appreciated.

Fantastic for the price

Schönes, helles, freundliches Ambiente. Zimmer und Badezimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Man hat sich wohl gefühlt. Im Zimmer wurde sogar ein Raumteiler aufgestellt für mehr Privatsphäre. Fähre in fußläufiger Entfernung und Supermarkt direkt gegenüber. Etwas mehr Badezimmer wäre schön gewesen und ein Duschvorhang, da Dusche und Toilette im gleichen Raum waren und so alles in Reichweite nass geworden ist.

It is a very nice place to be. Everything was fine. It is very comfortabele, everybody is very kind. It was all positive.
