MADOR Malang Dorm Hostel

This place is about making money, no service. Yes you can pay for service, like to use a towel. I think Bromo & IJen tour is over priced.

Ich empfand das Hostel bei weitem nicht so gut wie man aus den Bewertungen meinen könnte. Ich war in einem Dorm mit 3*3 Betten. Diese waren sehr sauber aber alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

Vu qu’ils proposent des tours (à des prix cher). Ils ne sont pas du tout aidant pour trouver de meilleure excursions ! Pas de location de scooter au dessu de 50 (donc pas utile dans cette région la, puisque nécessaire minimum un 150 pour aller jusqu’au cascades et Mont Bromo) Pas de petit dej La chambre seule est un peu chère. Très bruyant car l’isolation pas très bonne + les gens qui se lèvent très très tôt pour partir en excursions et qui ne respectent pas trop. C’est rel...

Rooms and hallways were super hot, no A/C, bed was falling apart, no table or chairs in the room, showers unclean, weird people in the hostel and not good vibes.

The hostel is a decent option for budget travelers. However, if your budget allows, consider opting for a better hostel. The female dorm I stayed in was extremely small and felt claustrophobic. The steps on the bunk were right next to the locker, making it difficult to climb down. Additionally, the lockers had no locks, so you need to bring your own. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet was very small. The worst part was that there were no cooking facilities available after 3 pm.

It's not a very social hostel, not super clean either. Most people just come for the tours: those are good deals though. Hated them schedule of the tours by the way (waiting too long at places without food and barely any sleep), if you can do it by yourself, i recommend that. But the hostel furthermore, its location is not handy, there is no coffee. Only the staff is very friendly, social, and helpful.

Établissement correct mais personnel peu agréable. Impossible de louer des scooter dans l’établissement.

I didnt really stay in the Hostel . i did a Tour which was really nice . bht the Hostel alone was not to Special rooms we're pretty hot. but the Tour was worth IT and really nice

It was okay here. The rooms were really not good for sleeping because no air conditioning so 2/3 of us did not sleep night 1 and about 1 hour night 2. Staff were nice, no real bar area which is okay they serve beer but also not very lively. Would probably try somewhere else if we ever go back to Malang.

We had a great stay here! we stayed here for one night before we started the tour (3D2N East Java Tour - which we also 100% recommend booking with mador we had an amazing time and met some great people) the dorms are bathrooms were good and clean! and was able to get a good amount of sleep for waking up early to start the tour! The staff was also super helpful and friendly!

Cool hostel pretty close to the train station in malang. I only stayed for 1 night but the beds were comfy and staff were nice.

Perfect stay before the 2N3D tour! Such a good organised tour and really amazing experience ! Anton was an amazing driver and updated us on what was going on in the towns and what to look out for! I would really recommend booking !

We stayed herte for 1 night before we went on their 3 days tour. Was very nice. 15 minute walk from the train station. Staff were very nice and helpful. Bathrooms were nice, shower water was very hot but wasn’t really a problem. Private room didn’t have AC but had a fan and it wasn’t too hot so it was ok. The 3D2N tour amazing! Would defiantly recommend!!

The staff here were so friendly and helpful. I did the 2d1n volcano tour and we were really well taken care of. Very glad I booked through Mador. The hostel was very clean and well facilitated. Highly recommend

really enjoyed our one night stay, happened to come on family meal night and we had a lovely time. The team made a big effort with us to make us feel welcome. Not a touristy area so be prepared

I only stayed here for the 3 days tour around east java, it was the highlight of my trip in indonesia for sureee😊 big shoutout to our driver Andy, he made sure we had a great time and arrived safely

Perfect stop in Malang! We stayed in a private room which was spacious, bright and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were there one night before we joined the MADOR 3 day East Java tour which was a highlight for our time in Indonesia and definitely recommend (it’s an exhausting 3 days with early starts but a great way to see some of the main sights of East Java). Our group was such good fun.

Really nice hostel, such good value for money and it was one of the cleanest hostels we’ve stayed in. The staff were so helpful with booking tours and buses. I must say we had a bad experience with the Mount Bromo Tour, but this was not the fault of the hostel itself and we discussed this with them and they really listened to us. Would highly recommend.

Great to stay the night before starting the 3D2N Mt Bromo & Ijen tour. The 3 day tour was outstanding, got collected from the hostel & given an option of drop off locations. I actually got dropped back to Bali, all included in the price!

Good hostel with nice people working there

Only stayed 1 night before the 3 day East Java tour but the staff were so lovely to chat with and had great recommendations for things to do around malang. The hostel was clean and had nice areas to hang out. The tour was incredible as well!

Stayed for two nights in a private room . Pros: staff were helpful and friendly, generally creating a really nice atmosphere. There were common spaces that allowed for meeting other travelers and hanging out. Nicely decorated. Offers organized tours to the volcanoes and waterfalls at a good price! Cons: In hostels our cleanliness expectations are low but unfortunately the room was very smelly and we had to use our clothes for pillows because the pillows smelled awful, like old sweat.

Not a bad hostel, perfect if you are staying the day before the tour, which I could not recommend more. Truly incredible tour of East Java with the nicest driver and guides, and such good value!
