More or less ok. However, very noisy, TV didn't work and biiig cockroach in room. Owner always clearing throat outside room which is gross. Bathroom was clean but there was only one for so many rooms. Maybe I was unlucky while I was there.

I was really excited to find this place for such a good price and an amazing location, but it seems a lot of the reviews are old and management has changed since then. Before arriving, I contacted the B&B twice to confirm our reservation and make sure we had a private bathroom. No response. We were under the impression based on our booking that we had a bathroom with our bedroom, which was false. There is also no breakfast offered... don't know why it is still called a Bed & Breakfast. The location is great BUT the place is not so great! The noise from the outside is very LOUD - you can hear everything on the street including people talking ( it’s on the 6th floor and even with windows closed you can still hear super clear). The place smells HORRIBLE! I am not sure what is used to clean/wash but it smells really bad. It does not accept credit card/card payment- we are in 2024 what kind of business only takes cash?

Do not recommend. Apart from the location, the reviews did not match the place. Breakfast included was a lie and the place is overall a bit ugly / smelly. It was not bad but it was ovepriced and overall sloppy.

Man wohnt in der Wohnung des Vermieters. Zum Frühstück gibt es Keks in seiner Küche. Sehr unangenehm. Der Gastgeber ist nett, spricht aber kaum Englisch.

Note : despite the name there is NO breakfast!

El Hostal está muy bien ubicado, su anfitrión es muy atento, también es limpio tanto la habitación como el baño sin embargo, todo el tiempo huele a humo de cigarrillo y con lo que limpian tiene un olor particular que no es tan agradable, además, se escucha mucho ruido de la calle a pesar de ser un sexto piso.

Muy bien ubicado, buena recepcion y muy comodo. Nos recibió con agua y te con pava electrica en la habitacion. Gran gesto de despedida una galletitas para el camino por parte del host.

This property is very charming and unique!! Right in the heart of the city I felt like I was living there. Beautiful room and an amazing host me and my friend could not be more pleased!

La habitación súper cómoda, el baño tb aunque es compartido y queda fuera de la habitación. Sin dudas la ubicación es inmejorable, en plaza república!! Super recomendable

Agree with the other reviews - clean, safe, super convenient spot. Our host was friendly and it was very quiet considering it's above a busy piazza. Cigarette smoke smell in the corridor but my room was totally fine. Be aware it's cash only.

good stay for a short trip

Très bon emplacement sur une place du centre, a 2min du duomo. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres, salle de bain et WC commun mais toujours très propres. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, gentil et facilitant. Vraiment une très bonne expérience ! ☺️

This hostel has an amazing location in Florence. The owner was great and it was clean and safe.

The host is spectacular and so accommodating. The location could not be better and the rooms are spotless. My sister and I arrived in June when it was 90 degrees and the air conditioning in the rooms was an amazing benefit. i think this is the best possible location. everyone commenting about a “smell” is dramatic. smelt like every other city building. the just was very friendly and keen to help us. the doors were a bit tricky but got there in the end. the room itself was lovely and the bathroom was perfect for just basic needs. perfect for a short stay and great value for money

Posizione spettacolare in pieno centro. Proprietario disponibile e gentile. Pulizia ottima, camera bellissima! C'è un bagno in condivisione tra 4-5 camere ma sempre perfetto. Lenzuola e asciugamani inclusi, colazione no. Se torniamo a Firenze sicuramente soggiorneremo da lui. Ottima qualità prezzo.

The properly was in an extremely convenient location, facilities were clean and kept on top of. We had a mini fridge, kettle, and cups which was great, and provided with towels. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly which really made our stay. 100% recommend if you’re looking to travel on a budget.
