Raindance Hostel

For hosting Ometepe's weekly pool party, not a single person during our stay went in the pool due to it being filthy. Private rooms aren't so private, it's like a massive dorm with temporary walls to next door and bathrooms. Food was good and pool table was appreciated but there's no kitchen for guests use so you're trapped without a moped. The party was actually pretty good but I wouldn't advise staying there, you can stay nearby instead!!

The pillow cases in the rooms were clearly not washed they smelled awful. We only had one towel in our private room originally. We did get a second one after. They did help organize quads and taxis at least. The location is nice and it is nice to have a pool. Every time we tried to order something we were unsuccessful as it was either out of stock or no power.

Really don’t get the hype with this hostel - feels like it’s only there for wet Wednesdays. The dorms feel prison like (the caged bed are appreciated but the decor and general feeling is really dull and depressing). The atmosphere was non existent, SO many bugs (way more than other hostels in the area) where I got stung just trying to fill up my water as bees swarm. Just didn’t love it. It’s not too bad but I wouldn’t recommend

-Badezimmer voller Insekten (Skorpione, Taranten), man musste immer erst das ganze Bad begutachten, bevor man reingeht -Klopapier lag auf dem Boden und manchmal gab es kein Klopapier -Mülleimer zu selten geleert -wlan öfter ausgefallen -ziemlich lauter Baulärm, keine entspannte Atmosphäre dadurch

Nice spot, whit great staff, but be aware that there's a lot of tarentulas!

We were a group of 4 friends and stayed for 3 nights. Although there are nets around the beds we woke up with spiders and scorpions (!) in our bed and the stuff just laughed about it. Then they took a day longer for laundry then they said and at first they couldn’t even find it anymore. Then we always waited around 1,5h for our food although we asked them before and they said around 20 min. The yoghurt for breakfast was more like a warm milk mixture, really bad. They never cared about anything...

I’ve stayed in nearly 50 hostels, and unfortunately the toilets/showers here were among the worst I’ve experienced. There were small flies/bugs everywhere, including on the toilet seats and shower floors, with live bugs flying around. It also seemed there was no evening cleaning staff, so the bathrooms became especially unpleasant at night and early morning before cleaning. I switched hostels and didn’t notice this issue elsewhere.

Overall cute hostel but unless there is the wet wednesday party going on the atmosphere is a bit meh. The staff is nice but the whole place lacks a personal touch (i guess that's almost always the case with big hostels). brekky for a fair price tho and their burgers are 🔥

I really liked the hostel. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm with AC and own bathroom and that was the best choice and worth it! I loved the room and the social vibe in the hostel. The food was okay. Staff super nice. Would highly recommend !

Really loved the dorms, the beds were comfy and very good at keeping the bugs out. The property is VERY buggy, but didn’t have any issues with them in the dorms. Lots of people around if you want to be social, but the hostel didn’t really create a social vibe. The events were lowkey of non existent and the volunteers kind of hung out with each other. Still a great hostel and lots of fun!

I had a really good stay here? The bug cages were nice, there’s also filtered water stations outside your dorms which is convenient . There’s lots of bugs in the bathrooms and showers but they are clean, there’s pool is also really clean which was nice. There’s free coffee in the mornings and an event every night. It’s not loud though, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to sleep because of the social aspect but the dorms are far away from the music. Also, there is an AC gym, not much b...

Good big doorms, many shower and toilet and good breakfast. Friendly staff! But they should have more place for the shuttle to the sunset at playa de mango. I didn’t had a bike and I went to sign up for shuttle in the morning and it was full already (only like 9 places) and then they sent a text around 1 pm to sign on the list if you want to join but the list were already full from the morning so I couldn’t join the sunset. Too few spots for such a big hostel.

Great hostel for partying, but it’s a bit far from the port and there are a lot of animals around especially at the restrooms and showers.

We enjoyed our time at raindance. It's a very central location and easy to get around. The place has a nice pool to chill and relax throughout the day. The dorm rooms were massive with heaps of space, the beds were comfortable with private curtains. One of the best sleeps in a hostel. Would have loved to stay longer but they were fully booked out.

Amazing staff, kind and super help full. Like any party hostel, it will get loud. But, stayed in the kingdorm mix 8 people (all the way to the back, it was nice and peacefull). And close to the restrooms and shower, but not to close, which was nice. Its a huge property and the partying is all the way in the beginning at the entrance.

Sehr soziales Hostel mit vielen netten Aktivitäten zum Mitmachen! Mega Pool, sehr angenehm auch einfach Zeit im Hostel zu verbringen! Personal auch total nett und hilfsbereit, Zimmer auch top! Eigentlich eine 10/10 aber Toiletten teils nicht so sauber

We are travelling as a family with teenage boys. Had a deluxe private room - en suite, fridge, terrace, A/C complete with mozzie nets. Beautifully clean. The boys were in the mixed dorm, lockable pods to sleep in. The hostel is fine. We weren’t there for Wet Wednesday (by design :)) Pool could be a bit cleaner but everything else was peer good.

Great Hostel; love the bug nets. They make a big difference. Plus the food and staff are great. Would recommend!

Staff were great and very accommodating. Excellent vibes. Excellent facility. Excellent party. I’ll be back.

The hostel is just excellent and very clean. The stuff is really good and helpful (especially Chris and Julia 🫶🏻). It’s a very social hostel and the legendary wet Wednesday party is a must if you visit ometepe. So I highly recommend to stay here.
