Blueboat Hostel Gyeongju

I am shocked to see this score as high as it is. There was no one working at the hostel to check me in, so the mother of the lady who was supposed to, who was working downstairs, did instead. When I came back at 4:30 needing to do my laundry (and they claim to have a washer that I couldn't find), there was no one there, nor would there be for the rest of my stay. The area is infested with spiders and nowhere to eat, a great combo. and you have to walk through the lobby to get to the showers.

The hostel, overall, was great. Very clean, lovely and good vibe. The breakfast was a nice touch. However, the matress was awful. Also, the toilets and showers didn't smell good, probably because of the lack of ventilantion.

Overall this is a comfortable and clean place to stay with a convenient location. I enjoyed the facilities and quiet space. I never actually saw a staff member which was a bit strange, and I had to leave cash to settle my payment and I hope they found it. Also there is a glass wall between shower stalls in the girls bathroom, which would be super awkward if someone else had been in there. I would recommend this hostel if you can pay in advance.

Great place to stay for few days. We were in the female dorms (6 rooms), nice but no curtains.

Such a lovely and peaceful hostel! I had booked a four-bed room but they gave me a single room since I think they had empty rooms spare, which was very much appreciated! Got a great nights’ sleep and then the owner’s mum was kind enough to keep my bags in the bakery downstairs while I spent some more time in Gyeongju after check-out. When I picked up my backpack later on she even sent me off with some bread from the bakery for lunch!

Das Hostel war definitiv eins meiner Liebsten Hostels auf meiner Asienreise. Es war sauber, die Betten sehr gemütlich und die Baderäume noch sehr neu und sauber. Das Personal war super und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen ☺️

Place is clean and well maintained, and has exactly what you need. Very quiet though, unstaffed 90% of the time. Good location

It was a really nice and quiet place! If you want some comfort, privacy and some good rest, this is really the hostel for you! It is not verry social, so if thats what you're after, I would recommend another hostel.

Very clean and modern, free breakfast was a treat and I had no trouble getting around Gyeongju from here. Would happily stay here again

Blueboat Hostel is honestly the best place to stay in Gyeongju. The facilities are excellent, the bathrooms are spotless, and the showers are spacious and comfortable. In the morning, they offer a sweet breakfast and you can also cook eggs just the way you like them. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even shipped a lost item of mine to my next destination and it arrived the very next day! Right near the hostel entrance, there’s a small bakery run by a sweet elderly lady. If you ...

Excellent hostel. The room was immaculately clean and the communal facilities are excellent. The staff were very helpful. I stayed at the other hostel in the city also and this was clearly superior. Kind of quiet but that’s what I wanted.

Great hostel! Cook-your-own eggs for breakfast! Cheese, peanut butter, butter, milk, roast, orange juice, frosted flakes. The only problem us that the coffee machine runs out of water, beans or the waste bin is full, and they do not monitor it closely. Keycard security for the rooms. Great under-bed locker with lock. Two leg massage machines. Common room is small, but it's a small hostel. The smallness makes for easy interaction with other hostellers.

Pleasant stay in this hostel. You cant access hostel facilities between 11 and 15 which can be annoying when you want to rest.

Perfect hostel to explore Gyeongju, Pretty close to the express and intercity bus terminals too which was helpful. Super clean and comfortable too. No complaints really
