I booked a stay here after seeing all the good reviews online. Unfortunately, I ended up checking out earlier because I had a very bad experience. The mixed dorms had a very bad smell and did not feel clean. The beds are separated by a super thin wall so it feels like you’re sleeping right next to a stranger in the other bed. The bar is super loud until late but there was no social aspect because they were not hostel guests.

This was one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed in. I can’t understand the 10 star rating. The common area is an active bar/restaurant (the listing shows this from multiple angles, but it’s just one room). As other reviews note, the entire building smells of cigarette smoke—even the dorms. The walls and floors are extremely thin so noise carries up from below. My comforter was stained, no towel was provided or even made available to rent, and there was no secure storage.

The party noise from the hostel bar lasted past 2am (even though signs say it should have been long closed by that time). It was so loud that even earplugs didn’t help. The smoke from the bar also gets into the dorm areas. I had a second booking with them a few days later, but went somewhere else for more sleep instead since I had an early train to catch. Probably a fun place to party though

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Not too far from Sapporo station. The only negative is that the bar downstairs is loud enough to keep you awake (they do offer earplugs though).

The main building of this hostel seemed really nice when we arrived, and the staff was kind. Unfortunately, our room was not in the main hostel, it was in the “annex” which was one room in a public building across the street. This was not indicated in the booking. This building was an apartment building with a main door that was left unlocked at all times, which made us somewhat uncomfortable. The building also smelled of mold and smoke. The room itself was clean, but the ventilation was not...

It was okay, I think I’d rather stay in other properties for cheaper. Description says the bar is loud. It is LOUD. I could hear it through my ear plugs. Front door and doors to the rooms are unlocked 24/7. Room was kept at a nice temp and overall pretty clean. Staff was super friendly. Atmosphere was semi-social, my room was never more than half full so I assume it’s off season.

Adorable hostel with so much room in your private bed/space, very warm and cozy, perfect location, amazing staff. Everyone who works there is so kind and sweet and helpful!! I am so sorry I forgot names but one girl carried my extremely heavy suitcase upstairs for me and introduced me to so many people (Curly), and the kind guy working there sat with me all morning to help me plan my trip and give me advice on where to go! Only bad was loud bar until 2am but it didn’t bother me. Great place!

Great property! Only stayed here for one night as a stop over before driving up to Furano to go snow boarding. Has an amazing little bar and restaurant downstairs with a great atmosphere. It was puking with snow as we arrived and that only added to how cosy it felt in the property. We had a wonderful evening with a few drinks and met some other travellers who were doing the same. Really cool staff, had a glitch on the payment with my booking they were really understanding and I just paid before I left which was a first for me. Not the most social but I did go in the off season. Great location and the staff points you in the right direction.

Nice location just over 10 mins walk from Asahigawa station and the owner is super nice. He'll help you with recommendations and any questions you have.

Very cute place in a great location in the city. Just note that it is an active bar so you might hear people downstairs at night

It's a beautiful place to wake up in the morning. It was so peaceful and clean. Loved it.

This place was unreal, fantastic bar downstairs that had great food and a good atmosphere. Very social hostel ended up meeting a bunch of different people/ groups over the trip here would highly recommend

Very cozy hostel! Staff are really nice & the hostel has a rly cool vibe too it. Location could be better, but overall not too bad. Most things r within 10-20 min walking distance.

Overall, I had a great stay. The beds were comfy with curtains, the facilities were clean, and the location was good. My only pieces of constructive criticism would pertain to the bar/common area. It’s open to the public, which is fine, but they allow smoking inside - which is very unpleasant and didn’t allow me to sufficiently enjoy the space as much as I would’ve liked. good stay in sapporo

Great hostel! The hostel is a little small but has a cool outdoorsy / mountain lodge vibe. This hostel wasn't very social compared to others I've stayed at, but it was comfortable and within walking distance to most of Sapporo's main attractions. Overall would recommend it and will likely stay here again!
