Hola Ola Hostel

Me experience here was second to none. From the amazing people, vibes of the city, close by beaches and restaurants it’s really all you need. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly while the events planned were entertains and created a lot of bonding experience between everyone there during my stay. I’ll definitely be back. Security were kind of d**** when I asked about a beer though lol hence the 9.7 not 10

Fantastic atmosphere, surf trips were great, you’re signing up for the convenience and the social side of surfing I think. However, there were only like 4 decent boards, the rest were falling apart. Also you only go to 2 different beaches. Still recommend staying though, met a lot of people, had a fun week.

Très chouette auberge avec piscine. L’emplacement n’est pas des plus central mais en 10 min de marche vous êtes dans le centre. Le restaurant de l’auberge est bon. L’ambiance est bonne grâce aux activités organisées quotidiennement. Le dortoir de 4 est vraiment niquel, la salle de bain aussi. Il n’y a pas de rideaux aux lits c’est dommage mais sinon c’était vraiment top!

Die Räume sind sehr klein und die Betten rostig und alt, teilweise mit scharfen Kanten. Zudem wurden bei Check-out 10 USD mehr verlangt, als es sein sollte, was ich raus gefunden habe, indem ich mir die Rechnung nochmal angucken wollte. Ich halte es für unwahrscheinlich, dass es sich um ein Versehen gehandelt hat.

It’s really nice place to stay, really nice people. I met some lovely people. The vibe is really nice. The food is incredible and there is always something new everyday. There is a variety of things on the menu. They offer the shuttle service around town multiple times a day. They offer surf days to different beach. I loved my time here and would come back here 100%.

Overall a really nice hostel. What bothered me a little bit was that there was no kitchen that you can use (but is was written in the description of the hostel so it wasn't a surprise). After two days we met some nice people even though I had the feeling that it took longer than in some other hostels (maybe depends on when you are staying there). They had shuttles for 5$ to a different beach every day which was really nice. A surflesson was also not that expensive, nice pool

Overall pretty clean but soooo many ants in my room. I’d easily say there were a couple hundred. Pool was nice. Ended up forgetting something at the hostel and found that staff were really hard to get in contact with and not very helpful. Location is further out but it’s a short walk to town and they offer free shuttles in the evenings.

The staff and atmosphere were amazing! Made lots of friends and had so much fun both at the hostel and at the events they planned.

Great hostel! Nice facilities including the pool table and pool. The shuttle to and from the surf beaches is great and it makes it ao convenient to come here to surf. The hostel is quite social, but not too much which was nice. The location is a little bit out of town (10 minutes walking) and they provide shuttles to and from town every hour in the evenings.

Great hostel. A bit quieter and bit in the town but it’s beautiful and the staff are wonderful

Seemed quiet at first but that’s because the hostel organises beach trips every day for everyone. Atmosphere was really good in the afternoons and evenings. slightly out of town but free shuttle was great for getting around and you’re in a good spot to do the Jesus statue hike. No kitchen but affordable nice food, and free coffee in the mornings. Rooms were pretty average but AC + fans were great :)

I loved hola ola! It was such a fantastic hostel to meet other solo travellers, everyday they offer shuttles to different beaches to surf, they have events almost every night and the staff is soooo lovely. I highly recommend for other solo travellers but ps it’s a little bit of a walk to get into the city centre but it’s only like 10 mins

Spent a week here and I never wanted to leave in the end. Was welcomed immediately and felt absolutely at home here. All of the volunteers were incredible and made every new guest feel so comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!!!

An overall great hostel, very social, great staff and volunteers, good shuttles to town

The facilities here are a bit basic, and I do wish there were lounge chairs or someplace to lay down, but overall a good stay. It was a bit quiet and empty when I was here, but I managed to make friends, and the volunteers are all good fun as well. The AC at night is nice and cold, and the walk into town isn’t too bad.

A really nice stay - wasn’t sure when I booked as there’s no photos of the rooms. But the 4 bed rooms were spacious and with an en-suite that was clean. Air con at night is much appreciated. Lots of space to chill by the pool or under shade upstairs and the food was great.
