Wouldn‘t stay in the hostel again - staff seems pissed of the whole time. WIFI is only working at the reception, therefore there is no WIFI in the rooms. We slept in a glamping tent which was moldy and full of ants.
Most of the staff was very disappointing, they act like they don’t want to be there. They’re not welcoming us and they don’t inform us about anything. They’re very rude and don’t care about giving good customer service. The food also was bad. I ordered oatmeal for breakfast and it was 90% water and 10% oat, like a soup. So I told them that it didn’t look like oatmeal and the waiter got very angry that I complained and didn’t even offer me a new oatmeal. We didn’t feel comfortabl...
We loved Guayaha for its cleanliness as well as the concept of impeccable glamping and its pool! however, despite the affordable price of the rooms, it is still an expensive hotel since they are collecting money elsewhere. for example, you have to pay 5Q to fill your water bottle, beers are about 30Q and prices for shipments and transport are very expensive compared to regular offers in the city. we still had a great experience and loved Semuc Champey.
The location was lovely, full of nature. The beds were comfortable and the food was very nice. Location wise, there were tuk tuks all over the place so easy to travel. The shared bathrooms were very clean. The tents smelt of damp mould and had mould stains on them (from how it looked, it was like this for all of them). The staff were somewhat attentive, I didn’t like how they treated the stray dogs.
It is not an inn but rather a hotel, so it is not possible to make appointments.
Cool concept but lacked a few amenities. Had an outside cinema which was fun, and also great pools and loungers. However, no security at all in the tents etc, no water available and a trek out of the centre of the town.
The tents were a bit smelly and a bit broken, but there is quite a lot of room in the tent and the beds were okay. There were rather older people at the hotel and not a lot of people in the camping area.
It's very nice, but there is no internet in the rooms: (((
The bed was comfortable, the fan was perfect and the cute little deck was nice to sit on and take in the nature around. Bathrooms were clean, but far from the tents. The restaurant is expensive and not that good. Wifi only works in the restaurant area. It was really quiet which was a nice break from shared dorms in hostels. :)
We stayed at the glamping and it was perfect. the shared bathrooms very clean, the swimming pools very nice, there is a sector with ping-pong table and pool; the food in the restaurant is delicious and the service of the team very good. we would return!!

Hermoso lugar y personal muy amable!
Beautiful location and very friendly staff!
I loved the store, the surroundings, the swimming pool, the toilets and the staff.
The glamping is really great and for couples or friends well suited. for "normal" backpacker holidays rather not, a hostel it is by no means.

Really beautiful place to stay, stayed in a private tent and it was lovely! Tents are a little far from the toilets and the rooms only have a fan which was okay but not super cool. Lots of families here so not really a hostel vibe, overall very cute though and free breakfast is bomb

In my honest opinion this place was lovely but I don’t think it should be advertised on hostel world. It is more like a little resort. If your backpacking and looking to meet people, its not really the spot. It’s far away from Lanquin and other hostels and it is a very very quiet little place. That being said, if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of backpacker life, this is a very nice little retreat. The glamping tents are super cool!
I stayed in basic double room and there was nothing basic about it. It was 3-4 star quality. Excellent facilities, nice food, great margaritas. I don’t understand the bad reviews as the staff were lovely, especially -Andy! Would highly recommend, isn’t for party goers but for maxing a short time in Lanquin it was perfect! The day tour was around £35 and included everything (including lunch)- great value!
Superbe endroit en pleine nature. Glamping très confortable.
Great location in the middle of nature, very comfortable glamping.

The tents are really nice to stay in. If you’re a couple and looking for something else than this is the place to be. Feedback: drinking water should be better available. Can only buy small bottles, bad for environment and not convenient. And please take more care of the restaurant. A lot choices on the menu are not available, food takes long to be served, teach the staff how to work. This prevents dissapiontments.
Guayaha Glamping was a perfect place to get away from everything and relax. Feels like you are glamping in the jungle. The tents are nice and roomy, comfy double bed, the fans kept it nice and cool, also have a private deck to relax on. the facilities are awesome, three big pools, swim up bar, pool table, netflix and hammocks. restaurant serves really nice food and decently priced. Would definatly recommend the tour they offer to Semuc Champey, includes so much more than going on your own. 5☆

Nice people, clean tent and close to the shuttles :)
