Laivahostel S/S Bore

Fantastic stay, an autentic old cruise ship, old wood furniture, the cabin and the toilet were very basic but I really loved them! Very good breakfast in a fantastic old style restaurag! Very reccomended

An old lady of a ship. Bathrooms, cabins and toilets were clean, beds were comfi (compared to the age of the cabins), and breakfast and staff were great. A wonderful experience. Would definately do it again.

Le déjeuner était tres ordinaire. La chambre était parfaite mais la salle d'eau. Plein de rouille écaillée.

Geen ventilatie via de ramen, zelf bed opmaken, slechts 1 handdoek pp voor het gehele verblijf, geen schoonmaak, afvalbak wordt niet geleegd, vies tapijt, sauna buiten gebruik.

It was fine, I mostly stayed here because I liked it's idea. I probably wouldn't come here again.

Original accomodation, very clean, small cabin but comfortable mattress, very helpful staff, nice living and dining room, there is also a small library, I even borrowed the only English book existing :) good connection to city center by bus no 1

Fine stay for one night. The entrance was hard to find when coming from the train station. Free breakfast was excellent. Room was small but comfy enough. Bathrooms were unusual but normal for a boat I guess. Not soundproofed, could hear my neighbors very clearly. Common space was nice. Sauna wasn’t on when I was there.

I was very happy staying this location. Staff was very nice and helpfull. They did extra mile to help me. I was able to check in earlier even I know it is not always possible so big thank you hence I was really tired that day. Breakfast was very good I was happy about that too. I always like boats and athomspere was great. place was clean and cozy. Many thanks. I am sure I will come again once I am back in Turku

Der Check-in verlief einwandfrei. Der Autoparkplatz in der Nähe war ein plus. Die Bore war sauber aber das Schiff könnte insgesamt schon mal einen neuen Anstrich vertragen. Ist ja auch schon 65 jährig. Die Schallisolation ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, man hört jedes Wort vom Nachbarn. Schön, dass die Sauna am Morgen gebraucht werden durfte.

I enjoyed my stay here and only wish it was longer. Having my own room was welcome and I found it to be at a nice temperature for this time of year. The hostel was quiet (I don't think many people were staying here during my visit) and the kitchen only had a microwave and fridge. A basic breakfast included in the cost is a bonus. Nearby there is Turku castle and the Maritime Centre (unfortunately you cannot go on the boats past mid August).

I loved staying at the BORE. For whatever you hoped staying in Turku is. The BORE is for you. Affordable and enough out of the city to give you energy to explore the beautiful city of Turku. Just a black and a half from Linnankatu which has enough life in it to keep you busy. Not to mention walking along the water, whenever you feel like it. A free breakfast, comfortable, clean, safe, good price for great value. The privacy you want or a rec area looking to connect.

It's a boat! Loved staying on it - I couldn't find a bar or anywhere to socialise but would definitely recommend. Location is a bit of a walk but on a scooter it's fine!

Perfekt härbärge i sitt segment.

Great location, interesting experience and good service but the space is stretchy, walls are thin and not enough ventilation. Breakfast was great though and was pleasant to work in the common room. Would go back but hopefully with a better room location, mine was next to a toilet and I could here whenever someone went in against the bed.

Great location next to Turku Castle, Marine Museum and boats, cabins looked better in reality then on the photos.
