Merci.
Pros : amazing location, very remote and beautiful island Nice hostel manager & volunteers Friendly activity manager organising stuff with guests Cons : expensive and blend food Expensive transport to get there (440.000cop total round trip) Expensive for the quality of the overall facilities Unfriendly receptionist (if you don’t speak Spanish) Overall dirty, with monkey, racoon and cat jumping on the table when you are eating along with thousands of flies Only a small fan per dorm
Loved it! Would come back anytime!
Mistica is a paradise on earth, the location is insane! Beautiful private beach with clear + calm water, the staff are super friendly/interactive. Shout outs to Andres for the amazing hospitality + Freddie the barman with his tasty cocktails. The vibe in general was out of this world, me + my partner loved this place! The only bad thing I can say about Mistica is the food, you can’t bring any food + can’t cook. The food they sell is not great and expensive for what it is. It could be impr...
Excellent tranquil place except for the wild life. Great staff and food. Facilities are basic but functional.
Such a beautiful place, it's like living on your own dream private island. Cool people, cool music, amazing views. Strongly recommend!
A little slice of paradise if you can handle patchy WiFi and monkeys running the place (in the best way). Once in a life time trip, but be prepared to sacrifice your comforts (no locked dorms, AC, plugs in bunks etc). Intimate atmosphere - feels very communal, everyone eats meals together and made great friends on this trip. Something different but incredibly worth it.
Bad stay so expensive. Not all the food on the card is there. You can’t bring your own food. And the food quality is not good. If you are in a shared room you have to be lucky you can lay in the bed below because else you dont have a fan the ceiling fan does not work. Verry expensive to get there. Looks nice and all but not worth it
Magical place if you love animals and want to chill on the beach
Pros: Beautiful isolated beach, cute animals & great location for a true Caribbean experience. The chef & food were good (a little pricey). Cons: Expensive to reach and stay. Unfriendly receptionist & barman (& be aware no English spoken). For the price, our ‘tiny cabin room’ in the reserve was way too small, unclean, had thin walls, no mosquito net & very hot, made worse with power cutting at 6am (instead of 7am!). Overall: Would recommend due to the location, but avoid the reserve cabin.
I loved this place on my trip to Colombia. It is a beautiful island, with many animals that are free and make the experience very special (They are very affectionate and fun). The food in the restaurant is delicious. The staff were very friendly and always wanted to help us feel good. I recommend doing several activities that you have in the hostel, especially plankton, kayaking that were my favorite.
Amazing hostel on Isla Palma. If you're backpacking, it's probably the best choice on the san bernando islands. The place is paradise and the staff is super nice. The offered activities (wakeboarding, subwinding, plancton tour, etc.) are so fun too! Especially Oscar went out of his way to make every guest feel welcomed, integrated and have a great experience. He speaks English perfectly and gives you the best advises, not only for your stay at the island, but for your whole Caribbean adventure!
The island was Paradise, but the rooms and facilites were not like in the photos, they were poorly maintained, dirty and the service was not very good. I saw two couples left a day early.
