Rhodes Backpackers

I really enjoyed the staff at this hostel! They were very accommodating despite some complication with my booking going through at the same time as someone else’s! As everyone else has said, this hostel is not in Rhodes old town so you will need to walk 15 mins each way. The only little notes I have are: it would be nice to have activities (I was here in Sept. and the hostel was full, but I guess since it’s shoulder season there weren’t activities) and really need curtains on the bunks!

A home away from home! Mike and Maria are so friendly and they went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. They take very good care of the property and it’s a lovely quiet neighbourhood of Rhodes within walking distance to everything you need. I would 100% recommend to a friend!

Positives: Really nice staff (especially British guy), good location near old town and next to supermarket. Negatives: No hot water, bad security. Biggest issue is that a key has to be left in the door for electricity, AC, lights etc to work. The same key that unlocks your locker… so anyone can steal from you easily. Nobody felt comfortable leaving their key in the open, so we had no AC and I couldn’t charge my phone the first night. The staff said she’d bring me another key, but she nev...

I had the best time staying at Rhodes Backpackers Hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The hostel has such a friendly, social atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people, Everything is clean and comfortable with a great reception bar that bring travelers together. What really made my stay unforgettable was the staff – they go above and beyond for their guests. Indianna and Pani were absolutely amazing!

It was a great hostel with great people. The atmosphere was great and so cozy, and the environment was so appropriate for socializing, meeting new people. The only downside for me was the location. As someone who likes partying it took me 30 minutes to go to bar street ( one way )and i felt exhausted on the way back to hostel. Other than that, everything was perfect 👍

Visited Rhodes Backpackers as a family with father (47) + 3 sons (12,17, 18 yo). I wanted to give my sons that “hostel experience”, which Michael and Maria, the staff and the other lovely guests really managed to give. We got good advice on activities and local hot spots and had nice coffees, drinks and even a nice BBQ. Nice and clean facilities. Centrally located ind Rhodes town.

Great place to stay feels like a home away from home.

Very friendly and social atmosphere hostel - great location 5 mins from the old town. Michael, Maria, Pani and Joaquin all friendly staff and very welcoming, such a family oriented hostel with great recommendations. I extended my stay here multiple times. Would come back here in a heart beat :))

Definitely a place to come back to

We loved our stay here. It was so friendly and the owners Mike and Maria can't do enough for you. Lots of great suggestions and lovely people to hang out with. Totally recommend!

Michael, Maria and Joaco are amazing people. I went by myself and made great friends over there. I extended my stay twice, just like other friends, just because the environment was really something else. I’ll always remember the mojitos, all the laughing and great moments we had together. Great hostel, increadibly friendly and welcoming staff, nice music

Such a lovely hostel the owners were so kind and chatted with us and took really good care of our room. So grateful to stay in such a lovely property!! Look forward to coming back again

The owners were very friendly. I arrived very late, however the owner was still there to greet me by name and assist me with settling in. Very friendly run hostel!

Loved the stay, very nice family

Rhodes Backpackers is an amazing hostel run by a wonderful family. You will have so much fun here, and meet such lovely people. It’s such a friendly environment and if you are friendly you’ll have a great time. It is a short walk into the old town of Rhodes, and within a block or two there’s a market, a Gyro place, a bakery, and a coffee shop. I originally booked 3 nights, and I extended another 7 because of how lovely it was here and how many awesome people I met. Book this hostel!

Hosts were great! Super lovely people, nice vibe and felt very homely

The atmosphere here was perfect for my stay! After a really hectic couple months, this hostel was the perfect level of relaxation and still had the social aspect of other lovely travellers - the owners are so personable and make everyone feel as if they are home and they’ve created such a beautiful space - added touches are daily housekeeping, breakfast and air conditioning - I highly recommend staying here, best of both worlds for chill yet still social
