Staff super nice and relatively clean. No common space to meet people though

the dorm is very nice. no common areas tho but thats common for HK. would stay here again because its affordable and everything i need.

Good location in causeway bay. Really just a big room with many bunks. Kitchen and lockers and an outdoor space, but not social or anything like that.

The property is in a prime location with all needed facilities, The property has a secure storages for the valuables in shared room which is appreciated but this dose not have a storage facility to store the bag, Some secured storage under the bed would be good, as there is no camera in the shared rooms to watch the bags or common space, As Hong Kong is known for stealing it would be good to have a some secured storage place for the bags. Canadian experienced traveller here 👋I’ve stayed at nearly a hundred hostels and I’d put this one in my bottom 20%… the location is amazing and a great spot for a night or two but the images are beyond misleading. It does not look like that and although I booked an 8 bed I got a 14 bed room. Better than staying in Kowloon but not the best hostel. Not social and lots of old men. Directions are confusing. Search up Hong Kong Mansion not the address on Hostelworld.

I feel so fortunate to have found this place. The location couldn’t be better, and it was clean. People might not love that it‘s a single room, but the individual cubes give you plenty of space to yourself. It’s a real Hong Kong experience. One note: try searching for “Hong Kong Mansion” on the map, instead of the name of the place, and remember that check in is on another floor. When I arrived late on hardly any sleep, these little details were hard to work out.

Their designated room for solo women travelers is excellent in terms of privacy and cleanliness .

Not bad, just a bed, but hard as hell. No social or hostel vibe but great location and not a bad price so good for a couple days in HK 👍🏼

Stayed here for a few nights. The hostel is clean and comfortable. Location is very close to a metro. Like most other hostels in HK, there isn’t really a common area as the hostel is split up in many different locations. My room was with two other rooms in a completely different building from the check-in desk, but had its own laundry, kitchen and work/eating area. This leads to a less social atmosphere. Staff are so kind and easy to access! Would return when in HK next!

If you just want an ok bed to sleep in on HK island then this place is ok. The location is great if you want to stay in CWB. It has some desks in the dorm room that you can work/eat at, with charging points and a very small 'kitchen' area with a kettle and fridge. It also appears to be cleaned quite regularly, which is nice. This location is everything - would stay here over and over for that reason alone. Not much of a social atmosphere at all - lots of long term stayers. Facilities cleaned everyday, nice to have laundry and roof area. Staff available 24/7 via WhatsApp. Dorms extremely hot at night despite AC.

This place is inexpensive by Hongkong Standards. Located right near Causeway Bay MTR station. Staff is really friendly.

Very nice place to stay. The hostels location makes it easy to explore the city as it’s right next to the subway station. Easy to reach from the airport as well. Super friendly and helpful owner.

This is not an 8 bed. There are 8 bunk beds with curtains and 8 bunk pods with doors. The social area is in the room and there are no designated quiet hours. On weekends people congregate and week days people were working through the night. Sensor lights turn on and off quickly. Bring ear plugs and a sleeping mask.

Ich habe hier gerne übernachtet. Die Bettnachbarn waren in der Regel leise. Alles war sehr sauber und das Zimmermädchen war mehrmals am Tag anwesend.Ehrlichtkeit: Bei Ankunft wurde mir eine Kapsel angepriesen für die ich mit einem Mitarbeiter das Haus verlassen sollte und drei Minuten später in ein anderes Gebäude zu gehen. Vorgefunden habe ich dort ein mindestens 12 Bett Zimmer aus Plastik und Holz Etagenbetten.Ich habe aufgefordert mir das Zimmer aus dem Bild zu geben mit nur 8 Holz Etage...

Lo vi todo muy bien pero vi una cucaracha pequeña dentro de la habitación y otra cuando abrí la puerta y quería entrar pero por todo lo demás súper bien la verdad 👌🏼👌🏼

The room has everything you need, also its nice to have a curtain and a own lamp. The bathrooms are very small and when u shower everything gets wet.

I had a great stay at Backpackers Hostel HK. Although the entrance can be a bit tricky to find, the beds are comfortable, and the location is excellent - right on a lively street as soon as you step out. I highly recommend it for a friendly and comfortable experience!
