Apple Hostel

Definitely my favourite hostel to stay in when in Hong Kong. Excellent staff, always friendly and helpful. Excellent location, close to transport, walking distance from the TST waterfront, heaps of great places to eat, and some great shopping too.

Health hazard - strong chlorine fumes in the room caused trouble breathing and an eye irritation - had to leave the place after 30 minutes trying trying to falling asleep. Furthermore, any traveler might want to look up Chungking mansion on Wikipedia before booking & prepare that room will not have windows unlike all advertised in the pictures.

I think the location is tricky to find, but also in a sketch area.

Great small room and perfect for spending a few nights in Hongkong. Yes it‘s not the most luxurious but it‘s more than enough if you just use it as accommodation and it‘s exaclty as described. It‘s very clean, everything worked and the check in was easy and fast. Friendly host, will definitely come again when i‘m in Hongkong

I cannot recommend this place, in a really weird building, shower barely worked, extremely small, no atmosphere, and you can get way better for cheaper on booking.com

Great! Clean, friendly staff

Very small and uncomfortable rooms. The toilet is small and the whole room gets wet. First time in my life I have a a room paid and I prefer to pay another hotel and leave than staying.

The room smell like toilet the entire stay

Very basic, but had what you need. It was in a central location but in a bit of a dodgy building so be wary if you’re a female travelling alone. The staff were lovely though :)

Basic but comfortable. Great value for the price

the staff were super friendly and kind but the location wasnt thd best for solo female travellers. The room was a good size, i am tall and the lady very kindy gave me a bigger bed becasue the room I booked would have been too small for me!

I've stayed in a private room with ensuite at the Apple many times and have found it to be great value for money, in an excellent and central location, secure, clean, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. For a budget traveller the Apple is definitely somewhere I'd recommend.

We were in various and different rooms and they were all good. It's a clean, safe and friendly hostel.

Do not stay here! I stayed for three nights and my toilet never flushed even though I reported, then my water heater didn’t work, there was cockroach in my room, the AC gave me allergies. The building area is super sketchy and its not a social environment everyone staying is a local.

If you’re claustrophobic don’t stay here. The room is barely bigger than the bed. For the price, having a private bathroom, and a place to sleep it’s not bad. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and felt like it wasn’t level, but got the job done. Keep in mind this isn’t a standalone hostel. It’s in a bigger building with lots of other things. Think of it like an office building but like for apartments/hostels. I’d stay here again when passing through.
