What you see is what you get
Quality and service and price varies day to day...Great location at lower prices good value at price. Not for everyone
You're getting what you're paying for with this - individual private room is smaller than a prison cell, with a shower/toilet combo that starts reeking of excrement because the water stagnates. Elevators are never free on the way down and the whole place has an unfriendly atmosphere; there was a man covered in urine sleeping on the stairs. When I arrived, the manager also tried to shorten my stay by a day, and also tried to take payment twice (card and cash). Pray the electricity stays on.
This hostel is in Chungking Mansions. Google it to know what you're getting into. You can get a better place for the same price. Bad things: My bed had bed bugs. I saw several roaches. The room was tiny, the bed barely fit. Good things: the staff were helpful and the area is safe. Very central. Air conditioning in the private room and shower worked fine. Staff were flexible and I could stay an extra night if I wanted.
for a man for 1-2 nights will be okay! my girlfriend would never go there alone. was also turned on by the staff. WiFi didn't work, water ran out of the bathroom. Air conditioning was very noisy/broken. first floor is like a market but you have to cross it.. every day some guys approached me if I wanted d***s
Doesn’t really look like the picture and a bit dirty
Overall, cheap place in a good location in HK! If thats what youre looking for, this is it! However, the room is quite cramped (just bigger than the bed) and while clean, not the cleanest (e.g. small bugs here and there). However, staff is decent and the area has great Indian food
Great location, great price, very clean, safe and secure, nice staff. Room is pretty small but doable. If you are over 175 cm then you may have a hard time fitting in the bed. Wifi was not good but cell signal was, so if you have a SIM then you'll be fine.
A standard HK hostel in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. It's one in a dozen of hostels packed together. Overall negative. There's only one bathroom for a couple of dorms. The down elevators are usually full. The building is a huge Indian community packed with shops downstairs. The building is dirty with strong smell. Upper beds are too high, as well as the bottom-most latter for climbing. It is one of the worst hostels in the world; though, you get what you paid for. It deserves the price.
