Whispering Mountains Boutique Hotel

No atmosphere as it’s a hotel. But great staff who are very helpful with creating an itinerary for you on the spot, arranging transport to the hotel if needed, but DiDi was cheaper, delicious food, beautiful property, affordable, and on the slower west side of the park which avoided a lot of lines!

Ook bij het uitstippelen van een route in het park is de hulp vanuit het hotel perfect. De beste plek waar ik ben geweest in mijn China reis!

Food was lovely and was cheap. Staff were fantastic at helping us plan our trip and made it a great experience.. it was lovely to wake up to breath taking views and away from the city. I can't recommend enough. Good English to help communicate too.. very clean and secure.. although didn't see any solo travelers , but I would still recommend if you weren't looking to meet people.. the staff is all you need.. 5*

The owner is the most helpful, patient, and smiley person you'll meet. He'll arrange everything from pickups to ticket purchase to itnerary for you. The hotel is nested in a village in the mountains and the neighborhood is very calm.Read the room description carefully to make sure you booked a twin/king. All their rooms have the same name. It's NOT a hostel as they don't have dorms so there's close to no party social life. The vibe is more like a retreat.

A super nice place, Lucas and Eason speak English and are very friendly and helpful. They will help you organise your visit of the park to avoid the crowds, which can easily be done as you enter from a side entrance, far away from the tour buses. They will even drive you to the entrance. The Hotel is very remote, so for dinner you will depend on their restaurant which is good and has fair prices. It is a Hotel, not a Hostel, you will probably not meet individual travellers, but rather couples.

This was the best stay we had in our whole 2 week trip to China. The hotel is amazing with great facilities and is so close to the park entrance. Being on the West gate is such a hack as you miss all the long queues and can get around the park with ease. Lucas and the other guys were super helpful and booked everything for us and mapped out hikes in the park. Also the food is sensational there, better than a lot of the restaurants we have eaten at on our trip! All round amazing - thank you!

It was the best accommodation we stayed at in China. The two guys at the reception were super helpful and spoke fluent English. They made plans for visiting the park, organized drivers, drove and picked us up from the park and helped us with making plans after Zhangjiajie. The food especially the Tofu dishes were super nice. And the location is what made it really special. Because you use the West entrance and go in the opposite direction than the masses and can skip all the queues.

Eason is fantastic. This place is fantastic. Book it now! We could not recommend it more highly. It’s the far side of Zhangjiajie which might daunting but the accomodation was perfect at organising all the transport and when you enter the park you are the opposite side of all the crowds. Your photos will be incredible. They even helped organise our fantastic accomodation for Tianmen mountain

A perfect location to start the visit to Zhangjiajie parc from. Very friendly hosts they help you with planning your visits because it is a big parc, they helped us get to the entrance. Nice and clean hostel, with good food. Beautiful location with a calm atmosphere.

We had the most lovely stay at Whispering Mountains Hotel. Pickup from Zhangjiajie Station was smooth. Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially with providing the best routes and hacks for the large Zhangjiajie National Park (2 day visit), we managed to avoid all of the queues! Food at the terrace was delicious, even with free mooncakes for the Festival. Room was spacious and had a great view, loved the cricket sounds all night. Will definitely stay here again next time.

This was an amazing stay! Right next to the entrance, and the staff was SO helpful. Arranging transformation, tips through the park, food, everything was perfect. Really made our trip.

Incredible place to stay, they are so accommodating! I was blown away by the level of service they offer as well as the beauty of the place. Also, this is the ideal place for exploring Zhangjiajie park, entering from the west side allows you to almost entirely skip the lines, because almost everyone else is entering from the east and flowing the opposite direction.

A gem for travelers, staff is super friendly and providing a lot of help to navigate the park, food is absolutely brilliant, fantastic view, a wonder.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff

Not a very social hotel, which would be nice since so many people travel there solo and there is not many tourists around. But otherwise great hotel, very clean and big rooms.

My wife and I absolutely loved this 5-day holiday here. We speak no Mandarin, but with the excellent help of Eason and Lucas, we gained the confidence to make our way through the park's stunning features. Located a short walk from park's west entrance.

everything is great but it's a bit complicated to get there from the city without paying for the private shuttle. other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Incredible hostel!!!

Hands down one of the best hostels ive stayed in. each room is clean, comfortable and with very good bathroom facilities. Lucas is incredibly friendly and helpful and can help arrange taxis and busses to wherever. The hostel itself is in an amazing lolocation as its 5 minutes drive to the national park entrance. (he arranges free shuttle services too) the hostel is clean and the food is also wonderful. one of the best.
