I really don't understand why this hostel has such great reviews. My room and the bathroom both had mould in them and when i complained about IT, while they offered me another room supposedly without mould, the bathroom was still mouldy. So If your health is worth anything to you, don't go there!

A simple place to stay in the heart of the old part of town. Comfy room, comfy bed, lots of hot water in the shower. The rooms all open onto the central area / reception. This meant it was a bit noisy at times - particularly when people were leaving for tours with an early start. Lots of cheap bars and restaurants nearby. Only a short walk to the collectivo street.

The stay overall was good

I stayed here for a couple of nights after my Machu Picchu trek and it was ideal. Quiet, spacious private room and walking distance to most sites. Comfy beds, TV with netflix and hot showers. The bathroom was a bad design with the toilet behind the shower, meant that most of the floor was wet after your shower. I regretted paying extra for the breakfast as it was very basic (bread, butter and jam) and you can definitely get more for your money elsewhere.

It’s basic, but a very nice place! Nice big bedroom, comfortable bed and TV. Staff very friendly, really good value for money.

Nice local hostal with a beautiful courtyard. Very quite location 5 minutes walking from Plaza de armas. The staff super friendly and helpful. They let us leave the luggage.

Only plus sides: location is pretty good, about a 5 minute walk to the main square. The staff were really friendly. I stayed in the single room which is right near the reception desk, it was super noisy and it’s only windows opened straight onto reception. The bathroom window didn’t close properly and the bedroom door was half frosted glass so I just felt exposed constantly. Maybe the rooms on the second floor would be better? Rooms could also do with a heater as it gets super cold at n...

I would stay at Kunan again. Great location and very accommodating
