The best price for a flop in the city; plus, it was convenient to get to Riot Fest (a 15-minute bus ride). Just be aware of your surroundings; not the best neighborhood and sketchy, homeless people abound. If you are not a hardcore city person and rely on public transit to get around, probably not the best place to stay. If you want to drive or ride-share everywhere, then maybe worth staying here. The communication with the 'staff' (everything is done remotely/online) was very good.
Street parking only. There was barely room to walk around the uncomfortable springy bed and no windows, but it was a deal. A fan in the room helped keep it cool and kept air moving. Nice bathroom. No on-site staff, but they reply to text rapidly. That's not a big deal, but when smoke alarm started beeping from a low battery in the middle of the night, they said that the cleaning staff would get to it the next day. It stopped, but it must've been that another guest took it out. Oof.
I’m already put my bag outside the room at 11.00 and I already asking permission to stay there with the manager who not assist there. And she said oke. I left the property 1 hour after. And they charged me for $25 while the room only $68. What makes me angry is I already asking permission. And with arrogance she said that’s already their policy and she asks me to talk with hostel. Until now my problem not solve yet. Hope I can get refund my money.
Close to Humboldt Park and Aldi supermarket. That was good. It wasn't very safe to walk around at night. The building itself was safe. Unfortunately, the noise level in the building was a bit too high, making it difficult to sleep undisturbed at night. A fan was constantly running loudly, and the heating didn't reach my room at all. I was able to heat the room with a space heater, though. The cleaning staff turned on the heating while they were there, and the common room and kitchen warmed up.
