Hassle free stay !!

Honestly, I’m not sure the price justifies the value of this property, but for me, the experience was quite disappointing. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, which I didn’t like at all—the washroom was untidy, and the room felt suffocating. The staff was polite and helpful, but that couldn’t make up for the overall stay. I only stayed for one night since I had work in the Salt Lake City area. Personally, I’d recommend looking for other options instead of this property.

Guten Tag is the most homely hostel that i've ever stayed in. The common room and rooftop provides a great atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and eill cater to your every need. There is a kitchen to provide your own meals. The location is out of the city centre which delivers a great quiet neighbourhood away from the loid city. It can take a while to get to places, but it is located 10 minutes away from the cheap city metro so you don't have to rely on expensive autos and taxis.

Loved my stay at Guten tag. Clean rooms, friendly staff, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Common areas were lively, perfect for meeting fellow travelers from all around the world. Highly Recommended!!

Look, the room was full of mould, but the vibes of the guests certainly made up for it. It was an okay base for my travels in Kolkata.

The place had great reviews. But, it is a very very average hostel. Cons: 1. Very crammed beds 2. No ventilation whatsoever 3. There is no etiquette. People are drinking and smoking 24/7. 5. The place is very dirty and not clean at all. Pros: 1. People are good 2. The staff haupu is very friendly and helped us 3. Location is peaceful. But overall experience is not as glorified on the review section. It’s very very average.

The best hostel to stay at in Kolkata. The people running it are amazing and so are the people staying here. Clean, friendly, easily accessible, cooperative, the whole nine. What's the icing on top is the location which is possibly the most peaceful area in Kolkata. The airport is near and so are the local markets that kolkata is famous for. You get the best of Kolkata without having to stay in crowded areas. Highly recommended.

Stay was nice. Probably as good as you’re gonna get in Kolkata. Can do with some improvements but was able to be overlooked for a short stay.

Desist from allowing smoking in the open. Shower head of Toilet attached to Room no 204 is leaking and needs to be repaired. Strict rules about Alcohol consumption on the premises. Plastic dustbins/pots/containers under tap of water dispensers. Rules pertaining to cooking in the dispensation need to be made clearer/outlined.

Great staff, really friendly hostel that offered a nice calm space to hang out in. Only ask would be to hire a cleaner to help keep the place in shape!

Very friendly place. It feels like living in my own home. I would highly recommend this hostel to the solo travellers. I wish if could some more ratings.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, room and bathroom were clean and i had everything i needed. Only stayed one night so i didnt explore much of the surrounding the location was for me a bit further away from the center but not hard to reach.

We had a lovely stay here. One of the guys working here Arko looked after us very well, taking us to his favourite Hindu temple and then out for dinner. It was very sweet of him to take so much time for us! There were girls in our room playing loud music after midnight which was a bit annoying but they did ask us if it was ok. Overall we had a really lovely stay, the staff are very attentive and the facilities are good. Is also in a nice residential area so is relatively quiet

So this is my first experience at a Hostel in Kolkata. And I must accept the ambiance, culture and people are exceptionally welcoming. I met folks from different place and different designation, they are phenomenally acceptable in nature and the owner is so humble and ensures things are on place. Akash da himself is very friendly and in a matter of day the welcoming spirit surprises me a life time experience and a culture you can’t miss!!!

The folks here were friendly and welcoming. Located a bit away from the touristy parts of the city but the neighborhood was pleasant and peaceful. Rooms were neat and tidy. Akash da was very helpful. Would definitely visit again when I'm in Kolkata!

don't know how this property manage to get so good reviews! it is a small property with small rooms and washrooms. hot shower in my room was not working. the cook denied taking order for breakfast at five minutes past 10 am saying breakfast is served only until 10 am !!! ?? owner was friendly and polite though.
