Pondok Keladi Langkawi Guesthouse

Honestly our favourite place so far on our trip, super friendly host, lush rooms in a stunning location and lots of lovely cats!!!

Dee is the perfect host - he is now a good friend and took me places I never would have seen otherwise- he created a little paradise - you won't regret it x

Un bien bel endroit, un hôte prévenant, des bungalows cosy, un jardin luxuriant fréquenté par les langurs et les écureuils, bref, hautement recommandé pour passer un séjour ressourçant.

The stay here was perfect, just a dreamy little jungle paradise. The cottages are perfect if you’re after a relaxing few days listening to the sounds of nature. The one thing I would say, is that if you have any phobias or problems with insects or anything of that nature, then be warned… you’re in the jungle!

We had a lovely stay! Would highly recommend staying here for a relaxed and calm vibe for your visit to Langkawi. It's about a 20-minute walk or 5-minute scooter/taxi to the beach which is fine as you'll most likely spend all day there anyway and it's very safe to walk back at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Dee is a very helpful host!

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zu Fuß war man in 10 min am Strand. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Aufenthaltsbereich liebevoll gestaltet. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Echt genoten van mijn verblijf bij Pondok Keladi, vooral de lieve eigenaar en de prachtige locatie maakt het het meer dan waard om hier te verblijven!

Great location on a really peaceful back road, but still only a 15 minute walk from the beach and town. The owner is really friendly and provided a great welcome including giving me a quick tour around the local area so I’d know where to find things. The whole place has a very unique and special feel and the cottage room was lovely and very enjoyable to stay in.

My partner and I loved our time at Pondok Keladi. Dee is an absolute sweetheart and has built a little paradise on Langkawi. We would stay here again right away

Love this guesthouse. Dee and Marc are perfect hosts. Dee took me and a couple more new arrivals in his car for a familiarisation tour to Cenang and Tengah Beaches. Love the nature surroundings around the guesthouse, its beautiful well kept gardens and wildlife including Dusky Leave monkeys and Malayan Squirrels and not to forget the adorable resident cats too. A must stay in Langkawi!! Only 20 minuet walk for Chenang strip and beach. We got a grab from ferry ( 25min drive) and also to airport (15 min drive)!! The hosts were lovely, including their cats and the wild monkey visitors !! We stayed in a cottage which was gorgeous and very private. Gorgeous escape from city life, very calming atmosphere and was a great experience being so close to the jungle!! Thanks again for having us :)

I loved staying in the ‘jungle’ yet close enough to the beach to walk. I walked 2x each day! The minute I arrived, Dee took me for a ride in his car and thoroughly explained how the walk to and from town, food and beach even explaining how to walk back in the dark so I would feel safe. Other travelers had scooters but I preferred walking or GRAB. I had MaMa’ cottage and it was clean. I had to spray for ants - the outside kitchen is in the jungle. Charming guesthouse, gracious host, beautiful gardens, clean and comfortable room, homey common area, well-equipped common kitchen, and friendly cats, what more can I ask for! Will definitely come back again. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing environment yet 20 min walk to the busy Cenang.

I would say Pondok Keladi is by far the best guesthouse I've stayed in Malaysia. Excellent location tucked in a quiet village only 5 mins drive to the busy Cenang beach. What makes this guesthouse special are the adorable cats, it's beautiful gardens, the cozy common area and kitchen. Dee the owner is very helpful and kind. He drove me around to the nearby beaches and organised my scooter and tours too.

Bonne chambre cependant trop de fourmis partout et assez mal placé pour y accéder il faut passer des chiens des bœufs etc Les appels à la prière sont eux aussi récurrents la nuit car il y’a une mosquée à côté de l’hôtel

The hostel is located in a nice and quiet place surrounded by nature. However, it is a bit far to the beach. The rooms are clean. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is good. The only thing that annoyed me were the small lizards that came to my room at night and made surprisingly loud noises.

Extremely friendly host, made us feel very welcome, with great recommendations for all activities and restaurants. Great rooms and would highly recommend staying

We had an amazing time staying here and having the pleasure of the host Dee who was always on hand to support and answer any questions within seconds. on our arrival he gave us a tour around Langkawi Chenang area where we were, and gave us great tips to where to eat and what to do. Highly recommend staying here the place is super relaxing and beautiful you feel like you're in a jungle. Can't wait to visit again very soon. Can’t recommend this place enough! The owners are so lovely and attentive, we even got a tour of the local town on arrival. Really peaceful and beautiful property, and still only a short drive or 30 minute walk into town. A great place to fully relax and enjoy Langkawi.

Dee is lovely and enthusiastic.But,the pictures of this property did not match the room we stayed in at all.The AC is extremely loud,the toilet didn’t flush properly,there was a bucket of water to use as shower was not working properly,there were lots of ants and lots cobwebs in the room,the towel on the ground was filthy.The other rooms look decent on the website but our room was the worst room,there are no images of this room.We liked being walking distance from the town and the laundry.
