Sankar 561 points 4 weeks ago We had a peaceful stay at Cosy Guest House, Jodhpur, near the railway station and walkable distance from Mehrangarh Fort. The guest house involves a steep climb from Novchowkia Street, but signboards guided the way. The street was dirty and congested, but the charm of the guest house changed everything. The room was worth the price: air-conditioned, traditional Rajasthani decor, blue windows, spacious with a double bed, bath towels, blankets, shampoo, and soap. Water was served on request. It had a table, teapoy, and chair. The rooftop restaurant served good food at reasonable prices, with beautiful artwork. The owner and staff were helpful, and we got great views of Mehrangarh Fort and the blue city. The owner helped us navigate the fort when we got lost. Interestingly, the book lovers can check out the owner's collection at the reception. Uber costs ₹70-80 to reach Cosy, but autos outside the station would charge ₹200. We struggled to find Ubers in Jodhpur, and autos charged more if we don't bargain. Cosy Guest House offers good rooms at a reasonable price with good hospitality, near Mehrangarh Fort.

+ Posizione buona, bel terrazzo peccato che sia poco curato.
- Non troppo pulito, potrebbe migliorare, ma accettabile per essere in India.
+ Really nice view of the fort. In a quiet area part of the blue city and not too far from the station!

+ Hostel is not accessible by car, from the main street there is a good walk (200 m at least?) uphill and sometimes even upstairs through the labyrinth of small passages. It is well marked but could be exhausting especially if you are carrying baggage. Rest is rather standard for such cheap place, with the exception of nice rooftop restaurant with the view on the fort. WiFi, cleanliness, staff is OK. Single room was very small and another 3 floors up. Fort is only 1 km walk from hotel, but also quite uphill.
+ Polite staff, good food, nice vibe with other travelers good location if you want something more authentic in the old city. View was great.
- Most were fine but there are a lot of stray dogs nearby in the narrow streets

+ Good quiet location and good view of the fort
- Felt very tired and quite grubby - needed a good clean. Needed some updating - past it’s prime!

+ Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Nothing was an issue. The owner even walked us to the high street and helped us get a tuk tuk when we checked out as we had a previous bad experience with a local tuk tuk overcharging us. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and big. The shower wasn't too powerful but eas hot and did the job. The food from the rooftop restaurant was great. We ate breakfast twice and dinner twice here and everything was great! Also everything was well priced too. Location is good, the tight streets are chaotic but we have found most of india is like this. The hotel is in walking distance to all attractions. Great view of the fort from the rooftop!
- The Aircon didnt work in our room but we had a fan too that worked fine. The rooms are shaded so didnt get too warm especially in the evening. The tuktuks will only drop you to the start of the side street so there is a 5 minute walk and half of it is up a fairly steep hill. Was fine for us but might be difficult for others. The hotel is in the middle of the old city of Jodhpur so also uber taxis wont take you down the tight market streets. You can only take tuk tuks but th3se can be ordered via uber.
+ A beautifully decorated hotel with a terrific view of the fort. Dilip takes excellent care of the guests. I was happy the cafe opens quite early.] The location is 20 mins walk to central Jodhpur and 20 minutes walk to the fort. Cosy is away from the road so you will not hear honking, but....
- So many dogs barking at night. No sound absorption inside so you can hear everyone who is in. Bring ear plugs!
+ The view of the fort from the hotel. Helping staff and Owner, they were very kind.
- We have to walk from the road (Uphill for 5 to 10 mins) which is not recommended for people aged above 50. The stray dogs bite
