The hostel it self is located in a very nice area, a bit outside the center but still interesting. Mainly the staff was incredibly helpful and kind, we got amazing tips.
The female dorm could use some care. The lights were hanging from the walls, the lower bed seemed kind of broken and it smelt. Had a nice rooftop tho
Great if you want to be up all night listening to loud music!! But if not then I’d advise not to stay here. Rooms are not soundproof. The social area was lovely though and they do great cocktails. The bathroom in the mixed dorm wasn’t particularly clean either
If you like sleep deprivation, you will love this place. Music thumps from 8.30am all the way through until at least 2am. Despite several guests request to quieten down, was not listened too. Weird that on posters it says guests should be respectful and quiet after 11pm. No hot water in the shower. Rude staff - got told off a friend used the communal toilet. It's got a decent communal space and could be quite nice but you will not be able to sleep here. I actually preferred the place I had bed b...
The best hostel in Palolem by far, with their communal area being a standout as well as their lovely staff, especially the two girls running the social side

I had a great time leaving with Mandala house, best place to explore south goa from here, workation, homely vibes and best experience.
More indoor games and group activities can be introduced to make the environment lively. Food is expensive however the inhouse guests are offered 15% discount on F&B. The manager Ajay makes all efforts to make the stay comfortable.
The dorms and washrooms are very clean and cozy. Property is very close to beaches and different cafes.. and the crowd as well as the owner are very friendly.. all in all it was a great stay!
The staff at mandala house have been excellent. Extremely welcoming and friendly. This has been my best stop in India so far. If you like to have a good time near the beach this is the place to go!
Honestly was not expecting it to be as bad as my experience was. Checked in late only to be met by someone who was very annoyed to check me in, only to be shown a bed whose sheets were not made. The guy only fixed the sheets even though the bed was clearly used. No locks available to rent/buy for lockers. The bathroom stank. Hard pass.
Honestly not the best place at all, where to start. When I checked in I was given a bed but then was moved three times before actually going to sleep, the doors to the rooms don't close properly as the doorframe is broken, there is nowhere to lock a lock on the lockers, the water didn't work during the day,the hostel is dirty and not well looked after as all the volunteers are drunk/ high all the time. I booked two nights but left after one as I really didn't enjoy the experience at all.
Decent for staying near beach and sleeping at night only ;)
Very nice and clean dorm.the best hostel in south goa. excellent psy trance party in the house. 🥳 amaizing staff and good atmosphere during the day (and the nights😝👯♀️👯♂️). good food and pet friendly love to visit again.

When people are good the place is great. And staff of Mandala made do it well. I spent 4 nights in a female dorm and it might be that I’ve seen better but a hostel for me is the ambience and the VIBE and you definitely have that in Mandala. The staff was extremely helpful, I loved the common area with the pool table where lots of people gathered during the day or in the evening. It was a nice chilled stay. I would be happy to recommend it to a solo traveler!
