Acacia Villa

Acacia Villa is a great place to stay in Kampala. Both the 4 bed female dorm and the single room are comfortable. Good lockers, mosquito nets, and fairly quiet. The breakfasts are great! I also met a lot of nice people here. Would recommend!

I loved my stay. Right at the heart of everything in Kampala. Really fun chill place. And I loved Mustafa the dog.

We were brought to a room across the road from the main hostel, in what appeared to be a long-stay annexe of the main hostel. The room doesn’t match the photos on hostelworld - it was dirty and insecure - windows didn’t close properly and the room was full of flies and mosquitoes when we arrived. The mosquito nets on the bed also didn’t close properly. The en-suite consisted of a metal wall which was not full height and the shower was full of mould. Will add pictures on google review.

Great spot with incredible staff! We loved it so much we stayed here twice.

It was a beautiful experience, the staff was really nice, it was super clean everywhere. Especially the breakfast was great!

I stayed here a few nights and everything was great, the staff are very friendly and helpful, also the place is clean the breakfast is amazing. 10/10 I would definitely visit again.

Basic hostel but good value. I stayed in the female dorm which was only 4 beds and has lockers. There are only two bathrooms and in the mornings they can be busy but we didn’t mind. Some street noise but fine with earplugs. Nice staff and good breakfast.

Home from home. Very dedicated staff. Family mixed with professionalism. Service is wonderful and excellent. Worthy every shilling spent.

Pretty average. Manager was quite moody and there were no lockers to store your valuables. Wouldn’t stay again

This place is wonderful. I stay here every time I come to Kampala. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. Coffee is also free in the morning and comes with breakfast. There is a nice patio with a view of the city. The 9-person room feels like any other hostel and the security is good. One night I came very late without a booking and they were quick to accommodate me and give me a room for the same price as the 9-person room since they were full. I would absolutely recommend.

Acacia Villa is a communal place very nice for young travellers, for mature travellers who like their space and privacy I would not so recommend. The host/s are very friendly, caring and attend to each visitor’s needs… John, Benjamin 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
