La Playita

Loved my stay there! The place is a bit hidden but the any mototaxi will take you right there, and it's only a few minutes walk to the main road where you can also take the bus to go to the nearest beaches or waterfalls. It's a very chill place, smoke-friendly, lots of cute cats and dogs running around, lovely staff, very cool cabins. Don't expect any luxury. Vicki and the other guys there were awesome, they made us feel very welcome. Loads of lovely dogs and cats running around. The pirate ship was incredible! There is also a skatepark which was built for the community, guests can use the boards. Highly recommend the pesto pasta 🤙

Super sauberes Hostel mit chilligem Vibe und cooler Bar. Mir hat es richtig gut gefallen, es war ruhig gelegen und etwas abseits, man war aber schnell an der Hauptstraße. Es gibt gute Chillareas, die Küche ist auch super, hier fehlen nur ein paar Tassen. :)

I loved this hostel! It was quirky: an abandoned school bus on site, soooo many cute and friendly dogs, a whole PIRATE SHIP to dine on. Just generally a really relaxed atmosphere. I was the only one to be there the day & night of my booking (at least as far as I could tell) but the location was great for my own hike and I could watch the river all day. This place felt very authentic compared to hostels nearby. The staff were AMAZING too (Emily & sesa). I would love to go back for more time.

Cool place if you're into a very free vibe. Lacks a bit of privacy (basically every room is separated by just wall without ceiling, so you can hear pretty much everything. Not everyone's vibe I'd say. The dogs were cool 😎

genuinely loved my experience at la playita, from the welcoming staff to the atmosphere, it was an all around great experience, the location is pretty nice since it's very quiet and you are a quick walk away from a completely empty beach where you won't be bothered by any vendors. there's also some waterfalls you can visit and swim in the natural pools, there's a kitchen that is equipped with the essentials. this hostel has been a highlight of my trip and I hope to come back again!
