Soul Rebel Lodge & Backpackers

Very nice host and staff members. Dorm room was great value for price with mosquito nets, good beds, clean bathroom and a much needed ventilator (also wifi in the common area). Food was fine but they sometimes messed up the orders. However, they made up for it with good service from other staff members. Location is neat with small private beach and great views of the lake (the water smells a bit like gasoline though). Walk into town takes about 10 mins or the host arranges boda boda’s for you.

Great owner and staff, very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful view over the lake and close to town. Free sups too! Nice restaurant bar serving OK western food at OK prices. The lodge is newly renovated from an old lodge but still feels like a work in progress in parts. Needs more comfortable places to sit, aka more cushions.
