Ended up staying 10 more days because of the amazing staff , environment and management. It felt like i was at home.
Thanks Liaqat for accommodating us, lovely stay
Amazing place with an amazing view. The staff really friendly and helpful. On top of that the food is so delicious. 10/10, really recommended!!
This review is a bit late because there's not Whatsapp in China. ;) I'll start by saying the property is everything that you would hope for an much more. The views are spectacular, the rooms are great, and the location is perfect. It's the owner, Leo, who really makes the place. One day he suggested an impromptu tour and took me around the valley himself. We had great conversations about everything under the sun and it was the best experience of the trip. He also offers lots of transfers around ...
I’ve stayed here twice, in both autumn and winter, and it’s been an amazing experience each time. The hotel offers majestic views right from the room, no matter the season. The room is cozy and clean which makes it a perfect retreat. Its location also near the market and restaurants. Staffs are hospitable and helpful, and the friendly owner makes the stay even more enjoyable. Plus, it’s very affordable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hunza!
The staff is Ok. The food is good but pretty expensive. I guess it makes sense, given that it is not a restaurant. The views are astonishing. I would probably repeat. Not the best service when it comes to heaters.
Excellent hostel with incredible view and amazing staff. Highly recommend.
Sorry to say that the Old Hunza did not live up to expectations. Great view and the staff were lovely, but there was confusion as to what was included in the price and a strange “upgrade” pushed; we booked 2 double rooms and were shown to a twin with a nicer view. I think this is because the double rooms were very run down, only one had hot water (on one evening) - and that was only after running thick brown mud out of the shower for 15 minutes prior. There are nicer places for similar price...
Great value for brilliant inn with one of the finest views in the world. Staff excellent and can arrange anything you want and even upgraded my room for no additional cost. Also a great place to meet other travellers which can be difficult in Pakistan. Restaurant area very social and welcoming. I will definitely return in the future.
Old Hunza Inn is a very nice place in Karimabad. It is definitely a social hub for backpackers. Our room was very spacious, and had a great mountain view. Facilities were clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We also had dinner once at the hostel, and the local dishes were very delicious. Probably the nicest hostel you can find in Hunza. Karimabad as a city will confront you with power cuts, and dirty-looking water, which was not so pleasant (but not the hostels fault)
Good view and staff was friendly.
