So much fun! Such good vibes No A/C so be prepared but it’s apart of the adventure and they have hot showers
Everything was great only the food was very disappointing and expensive
Good value. Ok, the location is on the lake, but they have you captured. Cannot use the kitchen or utensils. Only a fridge. The pizzas were all bread and very little filling, and the pork ribs I ordered were half the size of the menu picture and looked nothing like it. Staff not very friendly, especially the kitchen staff. They could learn to smile.
Honestly, great price and awesome view. Good food , super chill vibe. And helpful
We spent two nights in a tent and we enjoyed it. The bathrooms are very clean ! The only things are that the kitchen for travelers is shared with the restaurant's one and we didn't feel very comfortable, you are on the way to the cook and asking for elements all the time.. And the restaurant near the tent is VERY loud, even with my earplugs I heard the music as if I was sitting next to the amplifier...
I had a great time here, friendly staff, good vibes, and it's literally on the water with the best view. The bathrooms were clean with hot water. They offer Jet skis which were great and charged a dollar/min but worth it if you ask me. We also had a volcano hike tour set up through front desk, where they picked us up and dropped us off from the hostel. The food was somewhat U.S. prices but the pupusa stand 2min down the road to the left was phenomenal. Best I've had in El Salvador.
Place was great if you want to stay right on the Lake. Pretty easy to get to Santa Ana volcano from the hostel, 2 buses. Breakfast was pretty good
Nice view, great infrastructure & super helpfull friendly staff. Free water tank & credit card accepted. I had and can not recommend the private room on the dock. Not relaxing as you hear the bar music from 2 sides + you feel the beds shaking when people simply walk next to the room.
SCAMMED MY TRAVEL CARD! QR code menus request your card details and then start scamming money. When contacted, owner didn't care and would not give the money back. Dodgy as, be careful. Staff also not friendly.
Has the potential to be a great hostel, even if they want to keep it more catered towards couples getaway vacation. Food is pretty good at a good price point. Jet skis are way to expensive but everywhere we asked/saw charges the same amount ($70 per hour). Had to pay $5 an hour to play pool (terrible location to put the table and cues/sticks were awful) which was enforced even without people waiting to play or anything. Showers/Rooms are clean but get hot early in the morning.
Lovely hostel right on the waterfront. Swimming is a must. Lovely restaurant with good food. Bus 242 passes right outside the front gate. Cheaper to arrive and pay rather than book on the app.
Unfortunately I had a really bad experience here. When I ordered the breakfast they gave me another breakfast which was more expensive (up sell) and also tried to charge me $4.5 for an orange juice (a nice trap they have on the menu one called orange juice costing $1.5 and another called fresh orange juice costing $4.5. The guy at reception was extremely unhelpful. I asked him twice if there was a bridge connecting the island in the lake to the mainland and he said yes. There was no bridge
Thah place is great in all the areas i give 100 plus
I've definitely stayed in worse cheap hostels, but this wasn't what I was hoping it to be. The views were nice but there was no vibe, the place was dirty and the showers were freezing cold. The staff were very rarely available. You could rent jet skis or go on a boat trip from the hostel but it was very expensive. The food at the bar was expensive and didn't seem all that exciting but the beer was cheap enough. The best part was the pupuseria 5 minutes down the road from the hostel.
Great view of the lake but currently there is an algae bloom and the UK travel website recommends not swimming in it. Private rooms are quite small and lots of mosquitoes.
