J’ai passé un super séjour à The place Siem Reap ! L’équipe est au top, l’auberge est très propre et confortable, située à quelques minutes du marché et des tas de restaurants.
Staff were very helpful, rooms clean and spacious with good lockers. To note, they no longer have the indicated laundry service and ac is only switched on during night even if you upgrade to ac room.
AC wasn’t turned on for the first night for whatever reason. Then it was turned back on the second night … annoying
+ The best hostel I've stayed in Cambodia. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly (especially the afternoon crew), and the rooms are clean, modern, spacious, comfortable, and have lockers. The common area is well designed, comfortable, a range of different seating, and most importantly, 3 cats who come for cuddles. The crew are amazing, the vibes are chill, it's close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend you won't find a better hostel in Siem Reap!!

+ very clean
- After being kicked out of The Place Hostel in Siem Reap, I was taken in by another hotel; otherwise, I would have had to sleep on the street. The biggest advantage of the hostel that took me in was that the air conditioning was on almost 24 hours a day, and the room rate was only $3 USD. I could sleep in the bed when it was hot during the day and there was nowhere to escape the heat. The Place Hostel, on the other hand, charged $4.50 USD for an air-conditioned room, and it was off from 10 AM to 6 PM every day! Yet, it was advertised as an air-conditioned room! I asked the staff at The Place Hostel why, and the answer was—for energy conservation, for environmental protection, for Mother Earth! My goodness! What a perfect reason, flawless! I instantly felt my perspective was too narrow! And The Place Hostel had an even more classic policy: if guests chose to buy coffee or other food outside, they were considered unwelcome and could only stay for a maximum of 7 days. I only found out about this after staying for 9 days, so I was politely kicked out by the staff. I've stayed in hostels and hotels in at least 10 countries, and all the owners hoped I would stay longer. Only at The Place Hostel was I shocked by the owner's bizarre actions! This was the first time in my life I had experienced being unwelcome. I felt the owner of The Place Hostel was incredibly admirable. She sacrificed her guests' rights and experiences to protect Mother Earth, making her a truly respectable owner! So, feeling embarrassed, I quickly left and went to the hotel next door. There, I received the respect and understanding I deserved, and the experience was very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel—if you're willing to sacrifice your own stay experience.
Really good hostsl. Rooms were clean, big comfy beds! The bar and the food in hostel are also really good! Thearith and rest of the staff are amazing, friendly and super helpful. Amazing stay

Very clean and had good facilities. It's a bit further from the main streets than other hostels but still not too far
Good cheap place to stay and does the job. Staff do not budge is checking you in even 5 minutes early and they check you in as a group so you have to wait around even longer. Not ideal if you get to the hostel at 5am on a night bus and want to sleep. It has a good location, it’s clean, the pool is beneficial and the food is good. I would stay again
In a nice location with a refreshing pool and comfortable common area, however the fan-only rooms feel like a way to pinch pennies on aircon costs. My bed was clean and comfortable however I witnessed other vacant beds in my room and the bathroom were slow to be cleaned. Good budget option overall
+ Staff was friendly and helpful, nice pool, very good location
Hostel was clean, however no toilet roll at one point, had to ask for air con to be turned on-note if you book the aircon option, it is only actually on overnight. Pool area nice but didn’t use as there wasn’t much room around the pool itself, felt like we were in reception and wasn’t relaxing
