K77 is a very Basic Hostel, but we still had a comfortable stay. Beware of the mosque directly opposite of the hostel, you‘ll wake up pretty early. The rooms are very basic with no AC, but enough for a good nights sleep (until prayer time). Not social or anything, but most people probably only stay a short time as a layover.
Lola was very helpful with everything👍
Room is clean but dark. Mattress a bit hard but I like it. Shared bathroom is basic but clean. I have seen no other guest during my stay and felt a bit lonely. The staff wasn't very helpful from the moment I've said that I didn't wanted to book my jungle treck to Bukit laWang with them... Plenty of food place and mini market in the main street nearby. In front of a mosque so you'll be awake with the dawn prayer. You get what you pay for. Ok for one night.
A great homestay with amazing people.Truly felt like I was living in a home.
The owners were very friendly, and the room was clean and cosy. I only spent one night here, but there didn't seem much to do nearby in Medan. However, for an overnight stay before heading to the jungle or airport, it is great!
Lola and Johan, are super friendly and run a very clean guesthouse. I book there a trip to Buket Lawang and everything worked out perfectly. They do not offer wifi, but this is not a problem. Across the street is a small Café with wifi access. The only thing is that the guesthouse is close to mosque and you here the earlymorning praying. Not that suprising in the biggest moslemic country in the world. I can recommend this place and will stay here again!
Very hot and stuffy rooms, but cheap price, so what? Friendly staff, but prepare to wake up at 4:30 for prayer time
The neighbourhood is a bit doggy. Reception is very friendly and helpful. Note that if you arrive on saturday , the next day you wont get any cash from the ATM. But in some shopping malls yes, if it helps.
Propreté au top, staff aidant mais emplacement et sécurité du quartier pas ok.
The room had no AC although stated otherwise on the website. Next to it is a mosque. We had a very hot night in a sticky room and were waked up at 5:40 am by the mosque (it was a friday). The location is not close to the center.
Great, no wifi though. Still incredibly friendly and helpful owners and very clean. Would deffo stay there again
The owner was very friendly and welcoming, we had a lovely stay in the guest house.
Staying in K77 Guesthouse was such a good experience. Lola was right at the door to meet and welcome me. She was warm and friendly and very helpful. She helped coordinate my travel plans to Bukit Lawang, Bristagi, Toba and Padang. The room and bathroom are very clean. Lola is always at reception to help and answer any questions. She even helped to fix my mobile! Thank you very much, Lola!
The host is very nice and helpfull. Unfortunately there was no airconditioning and no insect netting. So in the night there where a lot of mosquitos and there a mosk outside that makes a lot of noice, also by night time. The location isn’t good either. It is cheap, but it can be better.
Great stay. Good location in a neighborhood a little closer to the airport. Quick trip by bike or car to center. Loved the nearby TST shop where the local guys hang out.
No WiFi. Seems to be in a dodgy part of Medan (though I think the city as a whole feels this way). Helpful and kind staff. Good if you’re spending a night and using it as a stopover to/from Sumatra
I looked for a place in Medan to have 2 relaxed days after traveling in Sumatra. I didn’t wanted to book an OYO oder RedDoorz and was very happy at K77! The owners are very nice, the breakfast was good and big. It was clean and I would stay here again. Thank you!
