Lovely facilities, great kitchen and restaurant and games room, rooms were nice and staff were lovely
Nice clean hostel, although a 20 min bus ride from town that only came every hour so doing errands could be a bit difficult. Although it was far it was a beautiful location and house. Not social at all, but I booked it for that reason so it was fine with me. Beds were comfy and the duvet and pillow were hotel quality, best I’ve experienced in a hostel yet.
Wifi not so strong
I didn't love the key system. The doors would automatically lock behind you so even if you locked the door when you left if the next person didn't anyone could walk into your room. Everything else was great though very clean and very pretty location although quiet far from town
Great Facilities. Some confusion in the morning as to what types of breakfast had been booked the evening before. Large communal kitchen and plenty of food storage and fridge space, for bringing own food. large communal chill out space for young visitors with board games. Also quiet room with selection of books. Very good breakfast. Excellent rooms with separate en-suite toilet and shower room facilities.
All good gkitchen
I always go to this hostel when seeing shows at the RSC because even though it is about a fifty-minute walk away from the city centre, the cost per night is very reasonable and much cheaper than hotels in the area. The staff members were friendly, and the check-in and check-out processes were nice. When I checked in at 3 PM, the cleaners were still working on rooms, so there were lots of linens and things in the hallway, but not in the room itself. The toilets were incredibly small as well.
My first hostel stay as an adult and it was lovely. Everyone was respectful and the amenities were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Really lovely hostel with very friendly and helpful staff, as well as very clean and up-to-date facilities. It’s a bit of a trek from the centre of town but its a nice walk and all just along the same road. I stayed at the same time as a big school group, meaning I had to book a private room of four beds even though it was just me staying- ended up being quite expensive but sometimes these things can’t be helped. I would definitely recommend staying here!!
I enjoyed everything, as shown with the star rating.
很棒的大别墅!非常干净,前台特别热情友好,位置有点偏远但正好在15路公交线上,很方便接下来去warwick castle。房间隔音也不错👍强烈推荐 ⬆️a chinese comment for Chinese and an English version is below Great big villa! Very clean, extra welcoming and friendly reception, location a bit remote but right on bus line 15, which is convenient for the next trip to Warwick Castle. The room was soundproofed 👍 well and highly recommended
This as my third visit. i love it.
YHA is always good. This is a luvly mansion. But it’s a little bit out of town.
Everything was really good! The staff were all really helpful and friendly, beautiful location and amazing value for money! We had a private 4 person dorm with an ensuite and it was really clean and tidy when we arrived! All in all it was great stay and will definitely be coming back
I enjoyed my stay here - the bathroom and room was very clean, and the pillows great (sounds like nothing, but I have to prop myself up to sleep due to a sinus condition). The area is very quiet, and very beautiful. The only downside is that it is so far away from the city centre - however, it is easy to get a taxi or Uber. The front desk staff was very helpful in tips and recommended how to get around.
This is a great place to stay, especially for its super-low prices! Nice staff, gorgeous building, 45-minute walk from RSC. The beds are comfortable and have charging ports. I do wish that there had been more space within the showers to put things so I could leave my clothes in a dry space to change after. Note to those seeing an evening performance at the RSC - the buses don't run that late, so you'll either be walking or taking a cab/Uber. I walked home around 23:00 and had no issues!
The hostel itself was great, it was about a fourty minute walk into town but it didn’t feel long, straight shot basically and sidewalk the whole way. There was a sink in the room which was nice because the sinks in the bathrooms were tiny, and the shower could use a shelf but even with these things the hostel was great. Would stay here again.
not able to check in on 11/08; On the 12/08/23 when I arrived at 8.40 “to check in” the male staff member stared at me, I repeated myself and his reply was “ check in is at 15.00” so I explained I was due the day prior. room No 4 He said rather sharply “ they’ll still be asleep so be quiet” my bunk was the top one( not a problem) BUT Only 3 lockers available for 6 bunks- I needed a locker locker and very large bags were open x 2 on the very limited floor space - fire/Not safe-Not ...
We booked a private room with ensuire for 4, 2 adults 2 teens. The room had 3 x bunk beds to sleep 6 with a toilet and shower. We needed a bed to stay 1 night. Great location. Relaxed atmosphere, The whole place needs a good deep clean though like the corridors, doors and so on. The rooms were cleanish, the bedding was clean, the ensuite bathroom was clean. We didn't use the bar or restaurant so cannot comment on that. It was full and not too noisy after 10.30pm. Would consider YHA again.
A lovely place in the countryside to go for walks and only 30 minutes walk into Stratford-upon-Avon , a super historical town with lots to do.. and there’s a bus directly outside if you prefer… would love to visit again !
