Hotel Pacande

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great place for us to stay for the night before our flight home. We parked our rental car out front on the street.

Such a great spot, spacious and clean room and great breakfast too! The staff was super friendly and helpful, they helped me with local recommendations and let me store my bags after checking out. Great location for travelling in and out of San Jose airport.

Stayed for just one night and was very pleased. Nice home cooked breakfast and super nice staff. Overall clean and felt very safe with codes to every door. Near shops and other things needed in the city. Recommend! Considering everything that was included it was very much worth the money☺️

I booked the ensuite private room and it was perfect before my early flight!

It is good enough for a night before the airport. The staff were very nice. There was a very sweet cat that lived there which did in fact positively affect my review. It is clean enough (linens, towels, etc), but still the kind of place you wear your water shoes everywhere (shower, room, everywhere but in the bed). We ate at a tasty Peruvian fusion place nearby. The area is nice and quiet for uber pickup

Hotel Pacande was the perfect place to spend the night in Alejuela before my flight from SJO. It is conveniently located close to the airport and has great restaurant and cafe options within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and towels and soap were provided. Everything was clean and fresh! Security was top notch, I definitely felt safe during my stay. We appreciated and enjoyed eating gallo pinto in the morning--having breakfast included was great value for the price of the room!

Hospedaje perfecto para el regreso o la llegada, a menos de 10 minutos de aeropuerto, a dos cuadras del mercado de Alajuela. dormimos muy bien y a la mañana un sencillo desayuno de gallo pinto. buena atencion por parte de los trabajadores dispuestos a ayudar y mejorar la estancia.

Came here first my first few nights in Costa Rica the day before Good Friday. Despite a lot being closed on the Holy Week John and Daniel was very helpful in showing me how to get around. I was able to go to Manual Antonio with their instructions. Their English was good. The breakfast was good and the staff was very pleasant. Good hostel, safe and clean. About 5 minutes from the bus station and good restaurants. You can be at the airport in 10 minutes by taxi. Very helpful staff, they organised a taxi ($8) for us to the airport early in the morning.

We stayed there for one night only. It was very close to airport and once we were there we felt safe. The area did seem a little sketchy maybe though. Was late when we arrived. We parked out front and the car was fine. The shower was a little grungy and the my friend couldn’t seem to get the water to work. No AC, but had a big ceiling fan. We were close to the kitchen area and woke up early with the sounds of the breakfast being made. Also could hear anyone walking by the room very easily

Great hotel as long as you understand that it is for short stays going to/from the airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is basic but good. shower was great. Things are kept clean. I definitely recommend.

Only stayed for 1 night before flying home. Good location in the city of Alajuela, safe area, hostel was clean and everything there what you need for a short stay. Only 6-7min from airport, free small breakfast included.

This was a nice place to sleep near the airport before our departing flight home. The town was empty after dark on a Saturday night, but the staff suggested a restaurant up the street that had beer and fish. It was a good recommendation. :) The private room was really clean with a nice hot shower. The property is well maintained and the breakfast area/garden is charming. We got in after midnight and the staff was very accommodating. The location is great for an overnight before or after a flight and the free breakfast was a nice perk.

We stayed in this lovely place for our first night in Costa Rica. It’s only 10 minutes from the airport and directly situated in the city Center of Alajuela. The place was clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Great value for money, we would come again. Thanks, pura vida!!
