Rockhampton Backpackers

Ho soggiornato in una delle stanze private con bagno in camera e l'ho trovata spaziosa, comoda e pulita. Struttura nel complesso accogliente e ricettiva, dotata di tutti i servizi di base e a una ventina di minuti a piedi dal centro di Rockhampton. L'unica nota negativa è stata la cucina, disordinata e un po' sporca.

Best hostel in Rockhampton!

Feels like a bunker. Not clean and strange people. No electricity near bed. Upside: Bed more comfy than expected.

Todo limpio, pero muy oscuro, yo llegue de noche porque mi bus llegaba tarde y no había ninguna luz

Everything there looked pretty run down. The check in counter is a just shed with papers absolutely all over the place. The people there seemed to be mostly long term guests that were doing work in the area. All very friendly though. Wouldn’t stay for more than a night or two tops.

Ein leider sehr in die Jahre gekommenes und bald totes hostel.fast alle möbel waren defekt,auch in küche und schlafsälen.suberkeit hält sich in grenzen,aber schon schlimmeres gesehen. 1 nacht und das wars.wkan selten bis gar keines vorfanden.selbst in den aufenthltsräumen.schade drum.aber eine komplette renovierung wäre schnellstmöglich nötig.atmosphähre?auf dem friedhof wird nehr geredet.

Worst interaction ever with the staff. Doing a late check in, they were really rude on the phone. Saying the emailed me even if they didn't and were annoyed.

The Starr ladie was a bit harsh at first, but was very kind and helpful the rest of the time. The bathrooms a bit warm down but very clean! Big kitchen and comfy beds. Did not end up trying out the pool, but looked nice! The best most friendly dogs!! Would recommend :)

It was okay here. Worth the money because it’s cheaper, but there are a group of people who seem to live here, a family I think, who stay up until 3am talking loudly outside. There are also loads of mosquitoes, bring repellent I woke up with about 30 bites!! Bathrooms aren’t very clean

For how cheap it is it’s not bad at all! Not much of an atmosphere but long termers there are really lovely so had a good time. Receptionist who owns the place is nice enough and must have a lot to deal with, but I don’t think it’s fair that she makes recent guests leave the hostel at 7pm when most of the buses out of rockhampton are much later. The reasoning that it was for fire safety didn’t make sense when no other hostel has ever done that to me. Would be nice to let people stay late...

YHA Australia should invest in some renovations.

the private rooms were good but basic

Küche, Badezimmer sowie Schlafzimmer wurden regelmässig geputzt umd waren sauber. No-Go für mich; Hund in der Küche. Das Hostel ist für Solo-Backpacker leider nicht so geeignet, da 90% der Gäste da wohnen und arbeiten. Somit haben Sie kein Interesse mit Backpackern zu kommunizieren.

After travelling for over a month, this hostel has been the badest, I have ever been to. The reception is a trashed shed, that looks nasty. I recieved the key from a very unfriendly receptionist. The keychain was full of mold and hair . Dear God.. my room was so dirty, my pillow was itchingly stinky, that I literally slept on my backpack.I felt extremly unsafe due to the location.There are no other backpackers, only middleaged workforce around 30-40years old.One even spit on a dog.DONT GO THERE

Kitchen was disgusting. Stuff evrtywhere. Nothing was clean. Tables in the dining area were sticky and dirty A lot of people were there long term and working so all new each other. So wasn't very sociable being a solo traveller- I'm very glad was only there one night. Good parking off street parking.

Fine for a stop over between airlie beach and rainbow beach. Pretty basic hostel and i got electrocuted by the plug socket. Kitchen was decent. Think everyone else there was just working in the area.

Only here for a couple nights, cheap private room which did the job. Room was very dusty but fine. Kitchen was filthy however :( so we ordered in or ate out. Cute doggos.

decent hostel overall

Good hostel to stay while going north or south (and also only hostel in Rocky), but don't expect the cleanest or best hostel. Even after cleaning in the morning, the kitchen looks a bit dirty/messy. The room was good and clean, with bathroom outside.

Worst Hostel i've been to in my life. You can see that the owner has given up on the property, the whole thing needs a renovation asap. 30 min walk from the Greyhound Bus Stop. Very weird atmosphere no common space to chill at. Just stay on the bus and drive by if you can
