Blue Dot Jungle Eco Hostel

Such a beautiful and inspiring vision brought to life, in such an incredible location. I was seeking somewhere that offered peace, quiet and serene nature where I could decompress and recharge. Blue Dot provided exactly that - nature immersion, river swims, a waterfall trek, a relaxed vibe and hearty, healthy meals. Grateful to Daan for what he's created and is sharing with the world. Only thing I'll say is make sure you bring mosquito spray! Recommend Blue Dot to anyone 💙

Blue Dot was an amazing adventure from the very first minute. Daan is super passionate and knowledgeable about the Colombian jungle, and happy to answer any questions. Having a private section of the river was incredible and the wildlife was awesome. The beds were also super comfy. Absolutely recommend staying here for a unique and adventurous experience!

TL;DR: Prachtige hostel, unieke belevenis in de Colombiaanse jungle. Van de motortaxi tot de trolley over de rivier tot het ontvangst door de host en zn trouwe honden; deze hostel is een must voor zowel avonturiers als mensen die tot rust willen komen in de jungle van Colombia. Het eten is fantastisch en het personeel enorm behulpzaam. Door de huidige kleine schaal heerst er een zeer gezellige, natuurlijke sfeer. Daan is een super gastheer die steeds met je probeert mee te denken. Fantastisch!

Great place if you love to be up close with nature! The surroundings are so beautiful & It’s amazing to be somewhere so remote. The journey up is crazy but such an experience!! We had a great time swimming in the river! Our favourite was the vegan food - so fresh & yummy! It’s still early days for the hostel but we wish them luck for the future 🥰

An incredible hostel in the middle of the jungle! Daan has done a great job at creating a place for adventure lovers where you feel like you’re the only ones around. The journey to get there is an adventure in itself - on the back of a motorbike going through the Lost City trail. You’re rewarded with an awesome place to stay, set on a river which feels like an adult’s playground. Daan is also an incredible cook!

My time at Blue Dot was amazing, the access to the river beach, the vegan food, and the atmosphere. Everything was so nice. Although the hostel is still under construction, there is a lot of space to enjoy the amazing views. Nature is so unique in this area, get ready to wake up to the beautiful sound of the birds!

I give The Blue Dot Ego hostel in Santa Marta 5 *, its very welcoming. I stayed 2 nights. Not touristic, you connect straight with nature. The surrounding is breathtaking. Many kind of birds, monkeys & waterfalls, it’s really phenomenal & peaceful. The perfect place to go back to nature & yourself. Host Dan, can take you in jungle, its really awesome. I recommend this hostel! you will not be disappointed. I will definitely go there again for a longer stay.Thanks guys! Jorge Enrique Lambregts

Great place to relax and take advantage of the beautiful river & nature that belongs to the hostel. Thy way to the hostel is already an adventure and you can discover the surrounding rainforest untouched by humans. I'd really like to see how the place develops, since it's not finished yet and has a lot of potential :)

Perfect for getting away from civilization and trying something different, literally off the beaten track. I really loved the long adventurous moto taxi ride to arrive, followed by the pulley car across the river to get to the hostel! After I was there I didn't do much other than chill in the hammocks and swim in the river :) but if I went back I would explore more, as the nature there is really incredible. You see a lot of tiny frogs and kingfishers and wake up to howler monkeys and toucans......
