Decent basic accommodation. Disappointing price though. Simple things could be done to improve the experience like adding felt buffers around the doors to stop them slamming, and oil the door close mechanisms.
The Pinewood Lodge is located above Queenstown in a wooded area. The location is lovely, the staff was very helpful and it has good walkability if you are not disabled.
Great space, good area within town too. Free parking is a little tricky when it's busy.
em vaig quedar a una habitació individual en un bungalow compartit per 4 persones. l’única queixa és que les parets eren massa fines i la meva habitació era al costat del lavabo i s’escoltava absolutament tot
basic, not very social but out of town so its a bit more laid back, kitchen is pretty great and not shared between many people as its only shared between those within your lodge so usually you can find a quiet time to cook, toilets and showers get gross quicky- but yeah very quiet but sweet if thats what yoire going for
Kann man machen
Basic, but very good. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. It’s a bit further out of town than other accommodations, but still within easy walking distance. My family of 4 stayed in a private room with a queen and bunk beds, it had its own bathroom and a kitchenette too. Plenty of room for the night. Would stay again!
Bathrooms were not clean, kitchen utensils should be upgraded, property location was good, and we were provided late checkin by 2 hrs
Doesn't look at all like the pictures - there's no large kitchen or communal lounge, just tiny kitchenettes only 1 person can use at a time and 2 bathrooms between about 15 people which gets so dirty. The space hardly got cleaned in the 3 nights we were there, the staff basically just change the bathmat and that's it. Our room had 1 power outlet for everyone to share and absolutely zero storage space for bags and suitcases or to hang towels etc. parking is also a nightmare, would not recommend.
Grundsätzlich gute Unterkunft. Leider sind die Fenster und Wände sehr dünn, was dazu führt, dass man nachts die draussen feiernden Leute hören konnte
beautiful place with a lot of outside space, but if you wanna meet people I wouldnt recommend this hostel. Not a social vibe there… the bathrooms were never realy clean, the floor was realy dirty, the real struggle was finding a place to charg devices. Other than that, it was a good stay for two nights
It's fine. We were there for skiing and needed somewhere affordable and close to town to stay and it was. But it wasn't great. Was pretty disappointed with how COLD it was, no central heating or even heating in the communal bathrooms which made showers an unpleasant experience. This is Queenstown and any other lodges I've stayed in have central heating so the accommodation feels nice and cosy for guests when they return. Was a bit disappointing.
Good place to stay if you want to avoid the busy city life. bit of a walk into town centre but do able. Its a very average place to stay. very underwhelmed by the breakfast selection. but was staying during of peak season
decent enough hostel, but needs more regular cleaning and more space. In a lodge of about 15 people, there are only two bathrooms and the smallest kitchen I have ever seen. I stayed for 3 nights, 1 of the toilets was cleaned once and the other was never cleaned..
You have to walk a bit from downtown but it's a great place at the feet of the mountain. Surrounded by nature and good views to the mountains depending on your cabin. They solved any issues very quickly. Staff was nice. I even had a flight Cancellation and had no issues coming back. Laundry works just fine. Just have good travel insurance if you're coming to Queenstown. Flights can be canceled due to the weather in the mountains..
Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer. Das Zimmer war super, es ist nur sehr hellhörig alles und die Türen gehen nur mit Nachdruck zu und das ist u.a. auch sehr laut.
