Garage Hostel

Great hostel close to the nature 🍄‍🟫 to get to Nova gorica it's 12 mins to the bus station and then 5 mins ride. The common room and the general hostel is super tidy and cozy. Also quiet and there are not too many people.

This small hostel has been designed meticulously and thoughtfully. Has an industrial feel and whilst it is 3 years old it still looks brand new. Common area and kitchen are first class. The bathrooms are clean and well appointed. Bedrooms, beds and storage is exceptional. Thoroughly clean throughout. Nika, our host was unbelievable and provided us with great recommendations for dinner and sightseeing. 10/10. Definitely cant recommend this place highly enough. Great value for money.

This is such a beautiful hostel! Everything was so well thought out and you can tell a lot of love's gone into it. When it was busy it felt like a little community. They supplied locks on the cupboards which was great, and bathroom facilities were so good and always so clean! There are books and boardgames and lots of info about what to do in the area. Best hostel we've stayed at so far!

Such a strange hostel: it was unstaffed, so I was pressured to upload my sensitive documents online (never love doing that) and had to be face-scanned to enter with a special code. Inside was a large upstairs for us, surrounded by mechanics and garages in a very uncentral location, but it had good bathrooms and a fine kitchen. Tons of supplies. No one was there. I felt like a ghost. Eventually two others came, but despite there being 4+ rooms, we were all stuffed into the same bedroom. One snore...

I stayed for one night and it was nice. Everything was very clean and most of the furniture was new. Staff was really nice and all the communication went smooth. Although it was nice it is still a bit overpriced in my opinion.

I love this hostel. The only two things that I still miss are bins under the sinks and some paper towels in the bathroom.

Great spot for a night after my trip through the Soča Valley. Comfiest bed I have had since arriving in Slovenia!!! The website Nika has put together for the hostel has some great recommendations for exploring the surrounding areas. Situated right on the Italian border the city has some neat history!

Stayed here for 3 nights on a weekend. Nika, the owner, is wonderful, helpful, and responsive. The facilities are modern and very clean. The bed is comfortable. I found some of the people staying here, though, to be somewhat disrespectful, disregarding Nika’s house rules. Labeled food of mine had been eaten on night 1, and groups were loud past the “quiet hours” of 10 pm. When groups weren’t there, it seemed oddly quiet, but perhaps that’s just the vibe in Solkan/Nova Gorica in Septem...

A lovely hostel, super clean and a lovely environment. We took time to recharge at this hostel and it was a perfect hostel to do so! Super close to the soca river for a swim in the rapids. The host was one of the best, super informative and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hostel! 🌞

Very clean and modern hostel. Its about 15 minute walk away from Solkan Station. The kitchen was very large and had everything, even spices, herbs and oils etc. so you could really cook a decent meal. Great location to stay to do day trips to Soca Valley and nearby towns. Nika was really friendly and gave me great recommendations.

OUR FAVORITE HOSTEL IN SLOVENIA. This is the most thoughtfully curated hostel - rooms were comfortable & clean, common areas were well-appointed, and the owner is a true gem. She gave us recommendations for activities in the area, helped us organize our transport to Piran, and even made a reservation for us at the hottest restaurant in town (which her extended family owns!). We enjoyed every minute of our time at this hostel & couldn’t recommend it more highly!

It's a bit on the outskirts of a more off the beaten track Nova Gorica. But located in a lovely neighbourhood. The owner is super friendly, and the place is very clean and well accommodated. The kitchen/common area is well equipped and very relaxing and welcoming to hang out. There is a nice walk along the Soca river towards the beautiful train bridge. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Arrived here when there was heavy rains. Really glad I stopped here for the night. A lovely, clean and modern hostel with all the facilities you would need for a longer stay. Nika was around to chat with the guests and give advice on local attractions and Slovenia travel plans. Would highly recommend! Thanks Nika
