Had a great stay at Peace Hostel in La Paz. The hostel is located in a quiet street 10 minutes walk to the Malecon. It's a block from the Key supermarket. The dorms are on renovated shipping containers. The beds are comfortable with a large security locker. The living room is comfort. A co-working space is available for the digital nomad. Wifi is strong and reliable. The shared kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Filtered water is feely available Best of all you will be trusted like family.
Nice hostel, just a bit tricky if you don't speak Spanish since there are mostly Mexicans staying.
A lot of the common areas
Fantastic hostel in La Paz, just up the hill from Centro. I enjoyed the relaxed social atmosphere. Clean rooms and helpful staff.
A wonderful stay and unique concept for a hostel room which I like… it gives you more barriers. A super clean and artistic hostel! And not far from the main part of town at the waterfront.
Lovely staff (particularly Carlos who was really welcoming and helpful) and volunteers. There was a really nice and welcoming atmosphere, despite it being off season and quite quiet. Kitchen was well equipped and regularly cleaned. Double room was pretty good, shared bathrooms were clean. Wifi excellent, common areas great, location pretty good
Private room was very small with no place to store belongings. Air con was above the bed and was frozen and dripped so not very pleasant. Short walk to town but not the greatest area. Very basic breakfast and strange mix of people, not very cohesive. Felt almost like a motel not hostel. No bar or shop for basic amenities.
I loved this place. It’s a few blocks farther from the water, which I think is fantastic. You are outside of the super touristy part of La Paz and close to a huge grocery store. It’s quiet and the design of the rooms is amazing. No bunkbeds! It’s beautiful — each room is designed by a different artists. Full kitchen. Lots of indoor lounging space and a co-working spot for quiet computer times or phone calls. Great people. Great design. Wonderful place.
Amazing and cool hostel with a fantastic staff and chill vibe
This hostel is one of the most welcoming Hostels I've been to so far! Super nice staff, very nice people in the hostel etc. Also the hostel is very clean and has perfect working air conditioning, lovely breakfast and clean drinking water.
Peace Hostel is a great option for a quick weekend getaway. My only feedback would be on the cleanliness of the common areas, specifically the fridges: they smelled really bad like they haven't been cleaned or cleared in a long time. I stayed in a private room and noticed a lot of hair in the shower and the pillows were filthy, too. Not what I would expect as value for money. Other than that, it an average hostel were you could easily stay for the weekend. Staff was super friendly.
They were really nice and helpful. Got really great recommendations for nearby beaches and restaurants. Workers were very nice and dogs were great. Private room was small but had everything you need and great AC. Would 10/10 recommend! Also, breakfast every morning. A huge plus.
The showers could do with a deep clean. But otherwise a great hostel set up for self catering. Located near good places to buy food and ingredients for cooking.
I could only stay here one night. It was too hot and uncomfortable since you will only feel the AC if all of the curtains are open. Could not even be inside the dorm during the day as the shipping container has no insulation to keep it from gettin too hot.
Loved the dorm setup, definitely the most privacy I've ever had in a hostel dorm: the bed was comfy, room was quiet, each bed has its own overhead light, etc. The cleanliness of bathrooms, showers, and kitchen was my biggest issue -- I know that's a constant challenge in a hostel, and I've seen worse but also better in other places. Enjoyed having Pepe and Piña around, too. :) Wished they had a whatapp group so it was easier for solo travelers to make plans with others.
Super séjour là bas . Les volontaires qui y travaillent sont super sympas . Le concept de l’hostal est original. Il faisait un peu froid la nuit .
Great hostel. The owner is so nice and welcoming. She is also very helpful on what to do in and around la Paz. Staff is friendly and accomodating too. Perfect little hostel
Great hostel overall! The staff/owner made the atmosphere so welcoming. The facilities are very clean and well maintained and there is lots of original art everywhere. We had a private room and it was super tiny but had windows, AC and a private bathroom with a shower. The bed is small, it's a double/full bed, not a queen or king. We loved that they had parking for our car but street parking is easy. Once a week they throw a super loud party that goes till 1 am so plan accordingly either way!
