Hostel The Pod 33

This hostel is good if you are in Panama City for a day or two. The location is nice and feels secure. Supermarket right next door. Very quick to get down to the waterfront where u can walk to the old town. Hostel itself is not social. Not very clean. I did not use the kitchen due to this but the Showers were okay. Pod beds are nice and private. I arrived at 5 am and they let me sleep on the couch which was good. It’s also possible to check out super early.

Perfect stay on a budget. The staff were so nice and accommodating. They allowed us to keep our bags whilst we visited San Blas Islands. Amazing people. Thank you!

Het hostel is vies en ruikt gek. Combinatie van schimmel en pesticiden gif. Nou is het goedkoop, maar dat hoeft niet te betekenen dat het zo vies hoeft te zijn. Kluisjes in kamer waren kapot. Geen plek om je backpack in een kast/plank te leggen, terwijl er kakkerlakken in de slaapkamer liepen! Toen we hier iets van zeiden, mocht dat niet want ja het is nou eenmaal goedkoop. Sfeer is raar, geen aanrader.

Pros: Comfortable beds with curtains, light & electricity, good location, next to nice supermarket Cons: weird atmosphere, smelly dorm, bad equipped kitchen, no social vibe at all

It was not my best experience, but definitely worth it as the cheapest option available in Panama City (at the time).

Heerlijk hostel! Wel heel rustig maar de mensen waren heel aardig (spreken wel alleen spaans) de bedden waren goed, fijne privacy en de douches zijn groot dus genoeg plek. Wc was prima alleen de keuken was niet heel schoon. Verder hebben we een hele fijne tijd gehad hier!

Hostel pods are good, you have privacy. The kitchen too. The vibe is just completely off. There are no travelers at all, there's like a couple of older people who are living there for a long time and see the hostel as their home. They're friendly but it's not a traveler or backpacker vibe. Didnt meet anyone there.

We booked the Hostel pod 33 (private double room) initially for two nights and than added due to our plans one more night. The staff is very friendly and chill (check out very early is possible). The room is very simple but does have all the basic important things. There are no windows which can be confusing in the night but the AC helps refreshing the air. Only if you are noise sensible it could be not the best option for you. The hostel is located very close to the sea and metro is nearby.

les lits sont confortable et permettent d'avoir plus d'intimité qu'à d'autre auberge. Par contre l'ensemble des lieux est moins propre que sur les photos.

Great staff. The beds feel like their own room which is nice for privacy. Cant beat the location.

The Team very helpful

I was in a all female dorm. I like the cave like style, made me feel like I had my own tiny room. It is a bit tight as there isn't much room in the room itself. The place is gated which makes it feel secure. It is right next to a big shopping store which is great.

La ubicación es perfecta, ideal para fácil movilidad y acceso al transporte público en 5 minutos. Las camas son muy cómodas, sin embargo, falta aseo y limpieza en general de las instalaciones, sobre todo en los baños y duchas. Adicionalmente, la atención y servicio al cliente no es tan cálida por parte de los anfitriones.
