I came searching for the balance of social and comfort and got exactly that. The free breakfast and social space led to a friendship that lasted the whole trip, and great conversations. The 4-girls room was excellent. AC worked beautifully, sheets and pillow were pretty good, shower had great water pressure. Overall the only thing is no matter what we wanted to do - walk through Talat Noi, visit temples or go to the movie theater, everything was 30 mins away. So plan for that! I did not…
Absolutely loved my stay at The Yard! It felt like a little oasis in the bustling city of Bangkok, where I could recharge in the garden and meet amazing people. The amenities were great (free yoga classes and a delicious breakfast!), and the bedroom was really comfortable. I can only recommend it if you’re looking for a social yet peaceful hostel.
Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Super friendly! Outside of the hustle and bustle which I loved but also close enough you could walk to dinner, massages, coffee, etc. Washers and dryers were truly a game changer! I loooooved this place and hope to bring my partner back one day!
Great hostel, in a great area. Would highly recommend.
Very cool spot. Good vibes. Excited to come back.
Great stay at The Yard! The comfort is definitely there, with really nice rooms perfect for a good rest. The place is clean, well maintained, and the atmosphere is both cool and chill, exactly what you want when traveling. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I would recommend!
One of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Calm location and perfect to rest from the busy city (also means it’s a bit far away from everything tough). The staff was really friendly and welcoming, just like the other travellers. It is easy to connect since there is free breakfast and yoga and a nice common area inside and outside. Also good facilities and overall really lovely decorated. A nice place for a city trip or even to stay for a longer period of time.
Love the yard!!
Sehr harmonisches Hostel! Der Vibe ist wirklich einfach Mega, super sozial! Hab mich jeden Morgen aufs Frühstück gefreut und die Yoga Session war mein Highlight!
Loved staying here! Other hostels will have a hard time as I will be comparing them to the Yard on every front. For Songkran the team took us to a local Thai festival, which was super fun. The hostel attracts a lot of social people, which is great. Location is cute and doable by Grab or BTS to the center.
I loved my stay at The Yard. Chill vibes, certainly not a party atmosphere. In terms of location, the walk to Ari station was passable. Felt very clean and the washer/dryer provision was fabulous. But the doors weren’t the most bug-proof to be honest. Just be ready to be surrounded by ‘eco’ things. Staff were absolutely amazing too.
Pam and the other staff here were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned with charging areas in the beds. The common room was a godsend for washing, keeping food in the fridge and cooking too. It was such a respite from the city, tucked away down a side street you really felt like you were in paradise
quiet neighborhood, nice vibe. beds have curtains and are pretty comfortable, air conditioning is cold. i woke up too late for the breakfast but im sure it was nice! giant cooler full of ice and tap to fill bottles which is cool.
I had high expectations after staying at The Yard Chiang Mai, but didn’t love this one so much because of the location - it’s quite far out of the main city or more popular locations to stay. There is a bus that gets you into town pretty easily, or you can get Grab. I also found the crowd to be slightly on the older side - lots of people over 25. But it’s a great place to stay if you just need to chill out! Awesome facilities, yummy fruit breakfast, common room with games, books and a guit...
really nice chill hostel, not overly social, room felt a bit cramped and a/c didn’t work so was really hot but was manageable. only downside was i booked a mixed dorm and ended up in a 6 bed dorm with 5 men who were older so maybe the ‘mixed’ could be a little better!
Really lovely place! Great community, AMAZING STAFF and really good facilities. Slightly out of the city centre making it a good alternative, quieter spot. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Comfy beds, solid AC always on, nice shaded yard, good WiFi, clean showers w/ toiletries, nice staff. Fresh towels anytime. On-site restaurants that aren’t overpriced. Outlet at my bunk was so loose I couldn’t charge anything, worst I’ve seen. No shelf to prop it either. Vibe was pretty dead tbh. No real organized activities, game nights, bar crawls, Mauy Thai, etc. You’re kinda on your own. Also it’s far from everything. Temples, Khao San, Muay Thai, the river, malls. Plan 30-60 min e...
The vibe and people are nice. The dorms are fairly ugly and used up. Garden is really more a rock yard but with nice chill areas.
Great spot! Passed through on my way to Krabi but wish I could’ve stayed longer. Big thanks to Pan at the front desk for making me feel so welcome!
Honestly, everything I could want from a hostel and a great crowd, which made it even better. Free breakfast, bed curtain, towels, AC, great hangout space, clean, store your luggage (up to 3 months), not a party but very chill. I do have to say that the location is quite a bit far from everything touristy but still a lot within walking distance for food and stuff. I also think they could update the bedding, as some have small holes, and it is pilling. Still 10/10 stay!! Highly recommend!!
