+ Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist das erste, das man registriert. Erfreut stelle ich fest, dass es mehrere Aufenthaltsräume gibt neben dem grossen im Erdgeschoss. Es war alles perfekt sauber, ich fühlte mich sofort wohl und bedauerte, dass ich nur für eine Nacht hier. Besonders hat mir gefallen, dass nicht nur Empfehlungen für Restaurants am schwarzen Brett waren, sondern auch Beschreibungen für den ÖV - wie komme ich zum Flughafen. Das habe ich noch nie gesehen - und es hat mir sehr geholfen (die Bushaltestelle ist vor der Zahnklinik etc.)

- Da fällt mir gar nichts ein. Denn an der schlechten Anbindung des VIA-Bahnhof ist die HI weder schuld noch kann sie etwas daran ändern.

- That i got attacked in my room by 2 other guests and they dont have any cameras. And theyre policy is. It doesnt matter whos in the wrong ! The place is filled with crappy ganster people

+ The staff was great . The amenities were great. But i was physically attacked by another guest. And the room should have a camera. Very dangerous. My recommendation would be do not book in a group dorm as its very unsafe . Especially if youre a male. If youre not used to a prison atmosphere stay away from that situation

+ An ideal little hostel. Comfy clean beds, bathrooms were exceptionally clean, nice and quiet in the evenings. Free parking.

+ The place was clean with friendly staff, they were very flexible and helpful whenever I needed to make changes to my stay or whenever I needed to get a service from the reception. The place is close to so many restaurants and bus stops which is convenient for anyone new in town. It's also very close to downtown and almost everything is within walking distance.

+ This is my second time staying here, always friendly staff and great location near the bus stop.

- The bed is a little firm, but for the price it's a good option.

+ Comfortable and clean, beautiful equipped kitchen and lots of various common and study areas for most travelling needs! Very top notch hostel! I would revisit 100% Hot and clean little showers in the separate shared bathrooms, comfy beds and pillows and the towels provided were soft and nice too.

- Hallways can be a little noisy, but hostel protocol is to bring headphones anyways, and if you forget, the front desk give you free earplugs. Also send a note if you'll be arriving late as there is a need to have your keycard if you will be needing entrance to the building after 11pm.

- Bathrooms are basic and could be improved Location is not exactly in the main downtown core, so you may need transport Limited privacy in dorm rooms (expected in hostels but still worth noting)

+ Nice neighborhood, proximity to Whyte Ave, cheap laundry, budget friendly accommodations.

- Staff seemed cold, no privacy, snoring dorm mates. Had to use ear plugs to block it out. The dorm room didn't fully close; you have to apply firm pressure to close it. The water dispenser in the kitchen isn't cold, mediocre, and highly used utensils and kitchenware. I ordered food throughout my stay. Also, the vending machines are overpriced, and the washrooms are smelly. The establishment doesn't accommodate individuals with an Edmonton ID. However, in my instance, they made an exception.
