Location, location, location. Mother Hostel is the real deal. The location is deep in the Munshi Ghat district with a mere 150-meter walk to a balcony overlooking Maa Ganga! Being in the Ghat district allows you to experience the history of the world's oldest continuously inhabited city. Close to everything with a quiet private, highly safe location. Das Zimmer war schön, groß und sauber, hier gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Die Lage ist auch super. Leider habe ich allerdings vom Besitzer nicht das Gefühl bekommen, dass er sich wirklich für mich oder meine Fragen interessiert. Meine WhatsApps sind auch jetzt, 3 Tage nach meinem Aufenthalt, noch nicht beantwortet. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt okay.

The hostel is located just behind the Darbhanga Ghat in the maze of old alleyways in the old town. it's the perfect location but it does mean you have to walk the last stretch as no cars can get through the old streets. this isn't a big deal and well worth it for the location. There is also quite clear signage when you get close. the host is amazing and couldn't help more. probably the friendliest person I've ever met, he even walked me to a taxi and made sure i was ok when I left. Reccomended.

Das Hostel liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Ganges entfernt, inmitten der kleinen Gassen, in denen man alles findet, was man so braucht und umgeben von vielen Tempeln. Das große Zimmer war während meines Aufenthalts sauber, die Familie, die das Hostel betreibt ist sehr freundlich und vor allem Gaurev steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Es gibt eine Dachterrasse, auf der man andere Reisende treffen kann. Das Hostel ist ruhig.

That guy gurau is a cheater.there is no honesty with the entire family.posted my review in Google as well.i would never in my life tell anyone to go there.

I was so disappointed. After 15 hour bus journey, I was told I didn't have a reservation even though I showed my booking. The owner explained he has been trying to contact the website for 2 weeks to change his arrangement with them, but that they were not replying to him, meaning people who thought they had official bookings with his hostel were being turned away. So the owner said the problem was because of the website and their bad communication with him

This property is a bluff . We had booked this property in advance on 27th October for Dev Diwali in Varanasi on 7th Nov . When we were about to reach Varanasi , we called the hotel and to our surprise the man said you don't have any booking and doesn't work with this online travel agency. He also further added that He told to show his property sold out for Dev Diwali . Even after all this man didn't had slightest sympat

J'avais réservé 3 nuits. Mais à mon arrivé rien n'était réservé. Il mon gardé une nuit à 900 rupies alors que j'avais réservé à 600 rupies ! J'avais aussi payé un accompte ! Il est aussi très difficile voire impossible de joindre ''Hostel world '' en cas de problème. J'ai écris un mail... Sans réponse !! Je n'ai pas non plus aimé l'atmosphère de cette guest house. Pour moi c'était une familly business !! Et non un home stay .
