Bad service
in addition to looking very little like the photos and being very poorly upkept, this place is infested with rats. i was quite literally attacked by a rat, and when i screamed and ran out, the attendants at the front desk laughed and said “oh that’s just jerry,” so clearly this is not a new issue. i checked out early the next morning with no refund, and am now having to take antibiotics to prevent “rat scratch fever”. i have stayed in lots of lackluster hostels but this is by far the w...
Not bad. nice hostel. I like the location close to everything.
DISGUSTING HOSTEL. The place is filthy. When I went to sleep, I felt bites and crawling. Turned on my phone flash and found BEDBUGS on the bed. I packed my clothes and went to reception at 3AM for help. They did NOTHING. No room change, no refund, no care. I was forced to leave the hostel in the middle of the night with NO BOOKING AND NOWHERE TO GO. I had booked 2 nights (second non-refundable). If you care about yourself, DON’T STAY HERE. Much better and cheaper hostels around Chinatown.
rooftop view of building illuminated with blue neon is amazing. attached restaurant was my favorite food in the city and super cheap.
Cockroaches everywhere weird staff
The location is great! It is in a very nice area of Kuala Lumpur and you walk right onto the central market. However, the facilities are just average. Some of the bunk beds were missing sports or the whole ladder altogether. Some of the bedside lights were partly detached. Also there was no handsoap in the toilets and the toiletpaper was empty frequently empty. The roommates were also quite rude leaving the light on at 2am etc. But that is ofcourse not on the hostel.
To be fair this new year of scoring is unfair. However the price of this accommodation was so good. But when i walked in I thought it was bad. But after 6 days here I realised that you can’t be the price and it’s not as bad as first impressions at all. If you asked anything they would do it. This place is a refurbishment away from being a 9
This was a big disappointment. When we arrived it was really dark and smelly. The person at the counter just gave us the key without any further information. When we arrived in the room a haze of airfreshner came through, probably to cover up the smell underneath which was damp and funky. The room has no windows to air out and the floor was wet due to the airconditioning machine, which also caused the mold on the wall. After seeing a cockroach and a yellow stain on the pillowcase, we decided to
The shared bathroom is dirty, you have to figure yourself out how to get to warm water for a shower.
Overall it’s very cozy. I arrived and they switched me to an upgraded room. I ended up extending. Very friendly place but not the most social. They don’t really have activities or a member of staff solely focused on the social aspect. This is an area of untapped opportunity. I also think it would be nice if they better utilised the rooftop for social activities and had more seating. Maybe even like some sun bathing chairs? More tables and chairs. Cornhole? A dart board? Yoga mats?
Clim bruyante et non fonctionnelle. Matelas du lit usé. On sent trop les ressors
Worst hostel I’ve stayed at rooms were gross bathrooms were gross water pressure poor. The whole floor had a really bad smell to it. No storage or curtains. Homeless living right outside. Not very social but people were up very late every night and no quiet hours. People on phone in room until 4 am every night.
Not clean, weird people, verrrryyyy cold in the rooms but good location
Do not stay! Health hazard. I saw rats 3 times. In the bathroom, the stairs and the third floor hallway. The place is NOT clean. Rooms covered in hair, dirt and dust. When they changed the bedsheet next to me, they didn't even change the pillow case and it had marks on it! 1/4 of the showers work correctly (there's 2 on each floor). There's no atmosphere so get the same priced hotel rooms on booking.com
No privacy in the rooms, no curtains etc.. for the beds. No lockers to put your valuables in.
Not a pleasant stay at all. The hostel and the rooms were really dirty, litter under the beds from previous guests that hasn’t been cleaned, made you wonder if the beds themselves had actually been cleaned. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. Not a great booking system as I booked a different room to the one I was given, which was not as nice as the photos. Also the staff don’t seem to know who is in what room, as they just give you a key to the room and don’t show you which bed is yours. Further we ha...
Rooms were okay and clean, bathroom not so much. No hot water and little bugs crawling round. Dim atmosphere - not very traveller vibes. Very close to Chinatown which is nice so lots going on around it. Having been in Malaysia a while it’s definitely not the worst place to stay but would maybe just use it as a stopping place. Staff were nice etc
