YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass

+ Location is ideal

- Noisy from other occupants

+ Comfortable, clean rooms. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely atmosphere.

- It's a pity it doesn't have its own carpark facilties. To check out in a relaxed manner at 10 am you need to pay a whole day's parking ticket at the public carpark (minimum £10) because the night ticket runs out at 8.30 am. It would be amazing if the hostel had its own carpark :)

+ Amazing friendly and polite staff. Comfortable basic accommodation and generally very clean. It was actually my 1st time staying in a hostel and I'm 60+!!! Brilliant kitchen facilities beyond my expectations.

- Kitchen needed bigger soup dishes/deep plates. Kettles need to be bigger for convenience. Lots of food waste was left stuck in the sink plug but I guess that's the guests' own untidiness. The signs to the kitchen was not clearly directed so got a bit confused! Shower was not powerful enough and you had to press the on tap every 2-3 mins which was annoying.

+ The location was perfect along with views

- The welcoming hospitality, the facilities were spot on and great for the value

+ One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Amazing location, brilliant staff full of local knowledge, comfy rooms, homely atmosphere.
