Amazing hostel, you really feel like home. Beaches and nature around the hostel are beautiful. Thanks to Coco, Sally and Portia for making the stay so great!

I had really high expectations for this hostel — and they were exceeded! Even during the shoulder season, I had a beach trip, a bonfire, and even met some kittens. It’s clear that Coco really cares about his guests’ experiences.

Koko is the best! Despite it being the complete off-season, had a great time staying here and witnessed more pirate decorations than I've ever seen. Hope to come back in the on season for the full experience!

No trip to Montenegro is complete without a visit to Pirate hostel. Koko really makes sure every guest feels welcome and is there to help with anything you might need during your stay as well as advice to help you plan the rest of your trip. Plenty of common space to just hangout. Sunset trips and the boat trip in summer are highly recommended and for the cool nights they make a bonfire. Ulcinj is home to some of the best beaches in Montenegro and should not be skipped. Wish I stayed longer.

Had an amazing stay at Pirate Hostel! Koko and volunteers are incredible host who makes everyone feel at home and helps with anything you need, from trip tips to local advice. The place has a super friendly, homey vibe with great common areas, sunset and even bonfires on cool nights. A bit of a walk to the beach, but totally worth it — wish I’d stayed longer!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pirates! I originally booked 1 night and stayed for 3. Koko made me feel so welcome and looked out for, helping out with anything you need. It was like staying in one big house and had very homey vibes. It is a little bit of a walk down to the beach but so so worth it

Coco is an amazing man - he makes every effort to ensure you have a great time. He makes the hostel feel very homely. Could not speak higher of my time here. Super fun and super welcoming.

great events every day and koko lived up to the hype. beds were comfy and great common/outdoor areas. only 3 bathrooms so often had to wait. johnny barker (the dog) and the cats were great additions to the hostel vibe.

Perfect. Just book it. Koko and the volunteers we had are such hospitable people, and I made so many friends. I love Johnny Barker the dog!

I’ve never stayed at a hostel with such a welcoming atmosphere, koko the owner is so lovely and makes you feel right at home. The common areas are big so there’s always the option to be social or to chill out. The place is kept clean with lots of volunteers around. Koko will help you fill your days with activities if that’s what you’re after, and it is also a great place to relax and reset for a few days!!

The atmosphere so good!

An awesome hostel for the events offered such as the Crystal Beach sunset trip and the boat trip were really cool! Staff were really happy and friendly. The balcony on our private room was so nice. There is only one toilet/shower per floor, which can get really busy. The facilities could use some renovating, but overall everything was always clean.
