Hostel DownTown

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Definitely recommend!

Very pleasant stay at hostel Downtown. Shout out to Gabrielle at the hostel to keep us connected through the whatsapp group and planning good outings for us in Prague. Keep up the good work Gaby and Hostel Downtown team! :)

Private room was great, overall great location, easy to get everywhere with great food nearby. the volunteer hostel host, gabby was great!

I really enjoyed this hostel. Perfect location and walkable to a lot of attractions. The only reason I gave it a 4 on cleanliness is because the carpet in my room had debris that got stuck to my feet. The bathrooms and showers were very clean.

Great location and Alvaro gave me information to enjoy the city and have a great time there, we went to some bars together and he knows how to make people happy

I was really surprised when I got to this hostel, because it was so highly rated. Our beds in the mixed dorm had no curtains, and people of all ages were staying in the hostel. The lobby was dirty. The shower curtain in our bathroom was a blue tarp and the small from the bathroom was so strong, you could smell it from your bed. We did not feel comfortable staying here and had to find alternative lodging.

Good location and Alvaro was very helpful in giving recommendations for the city. He showed me and other solo travelers around Prague and it was very fun!

It was my first time in a hostel, and it was super cool. I've met a lot of travelers and made new friends, and Alvaro helped with information about the city, and we went out together with a cool group of friends. Thanks for everything

Good location, clean and comfortable facilities. However, I had bad experiences all three nights due to noise, people talking and coming in/out late. Reception ignored my complaint; they said quiet hours are 10 pm–6 am, though the hostel rules state 10 pm–8 am. Solo female travelers may prefer a female only room. On the positive side, Alvaro, a volunteer, organized activities and fostered a friendly atmosphere.

Nice people, clean, and cheap

I wouldn’t stay here again. Pros: Fantastic central location, affordable private rooms, kitchen, 24/7 reception, luggage room (bring a lock). Cons: My floor ran out of hot water twice which is problematic as a contact lens wearer and anyone wanting to shower (I had to use a different floor bathroom), paper thin walls (bring earplugs), unapologetic/indifferent staff to lack of hot water and was overcharged (was refunded), depressing dark atmosphere and entrance, in need of freshen up of interio...

Great location, calm, kind staff and spotless rooms.

Had a great stay. It was a quiet period, just after Christmas/New Year so not many other guests about. The room was clean, comfy. Curtains don’t block any light really but I had an eye mask. Enjoyed getting to know the volunteer, Gabby who organised for us to go out for drinks one evening and to play games on another night. Kitchen was well equipped.
