Confirmed Hostelworld
I booked 3 nights, in the 1st night I woke up and my body was itching. I found bed bugs in my bed. Obviously I didnt want to stay in this hostel anymore. They told me that I still have to pay for all 3 nights because I already booked them, only thing they could do is give me another room. Also they canceled my stay on Hostelworld so that I could not leave a rating here until I complained. They only checked the room and the mattress very superficially for bed bugs and did no special cleaning

Good proximity to the train station, and social events to take part in. Unfortunately there were Bed Bugs- got heaps of bites. After I told them about the bedbugs at check out time, I got an email saying my previous two nights were cancelled 🤨. Bedbugs can happen anywhere, the Hostel worker was very nice and washed my clothes 😊. But it was a bit shady of the hostel to cancel my past bookings so I couldn’t leave a review (I found a way). Aside from that it was a nice hostel!

Pretty good socially - I wish the events were a little less basic/touristy but I guess it makes sense because we are all tourists. However, a buddy I made here found bedbugs and ended up checking out early. While it didn’t happen to me, I’d avoid this hostel for that alone. Cleanliness is kind of hit or miss and the staff and all young people mostly there temporarily so nobody really takes responsibility for things (like bedbugs) are concerning.
