Everything was perfect. Very clean.
I really liked the accommodation; it was in a great location, within walking distance of the city, and the staff were very friendly. The only things I could criticize were the security and cleanliness. The front door was almost always open, even though it required an electronic card to open it, even late in the evening after reception had closed. Also, there were a few small ants in the women's restroom, not many, and there were hardly any clotheslines in the showers.
Most comfortable bed and room I've stayed in on my 6 week trip! Lovely staff and great location, not much atmosphere but great for a low-key, comfortable stay!
We really liked this hostel. It was clean and quiet. Not a social aspect but we didn’t mind. Receptionist was so lovely!
Modern, clean and well located. I had a good sleep and the bathrooms were fine. It's not the most social but close to all the sights and you meet people easily through tours and stuff anyways.
Super Lage, nettes Personal, unterstes Zimmer sehr laut wegen Wassertank neben dem Fenster.
Luxury compared to other hostels, free breakfast aswell!
WONDERFUL stay, the staff are great and the beds are very comfortable with multiple pillows provided. The hostel is very clean. Not very social but I preferred it that way
The location was great and the decor was cute but the room was not clean. The shower was mouldy and smelt so bad we couldn’t even use it and had to keep the door closed so it didn’t stink out the room. Such a shame and not worth the money unfortunately
A really cosy and plush hostel! With a small breakfast included this place was just right! I think my only critique would be that inside the beds can get a little stuffy.
There is no hot water. Staff stated they would have someone come fix it but that never happened. When asked about it again, I was told I was wrong and the water was actually hot. I then had to then prove to them that the water was ice cold. Spoke with someone in the hostile that had stayed here weeks ago and they said the water was cold then as well. So they know about it, but just don't want to fix it.
we booked a private room, very clean and great room- for what we got we still think its rather expensive
Fantastic Hostel! The best in Chiang mai
Pretty cool location right next to the North Gate, no complaints! If you have to use the lockers make sure you bring your own lock
This place was great!! Budget friendly, best location, and I enjoyed the dorm room. I found some cool cafes and restaurants nearby and of course it’s by the jazz bar. This was the perfect place for me and anyone else who enjoys live music.
Amazing hostel just what I needed. Unfortunately only booked for one night so couldn’t extend my stay. Staff are super friendly, they allowed me to check in early as the bed was ready. Would highly recommend staying here if your looking for a quieter place to stay
The staff here are excellent, they couldn’t be more helpful. It was a lovely place to stay with a great location!! The beds were sooo comfy!!
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Stay North Gate - the staff are very nice, location is good. We got the private room with balcony and it was nice, good AC - I did notice some marks on the pillow cases & sheets but they smelled clean. Also, a little bit loud at night if you’re staying on the street side and could hear people in the hostel coming back from being out but not huge issues overall ! Free breakfast was also much appreciated, would recommend.
We had a lovely time at Stay North Gate in Chiang Mai. The staff are so lovely and accommodating and they also speak good English. The room was lovely, and the staff clean it on request. The location is amazing, only 2 minutes from a 7-eleven and easy to walk into the centre of town. The front lobby has some tables and a kitchen area that was rarely busy but plenty of space for a large group. They also let us check in early so don’t panic if you have come into Chiang Mai on the night bus!
Good place if you're going as a couple or in a group as there's a lot of privacy. The common area is quite small and almost always empty so if you're looking to socialise in the hostel then this is not going to be your vibe. North Gate Jazz Co-op is right across the street for socialising.
