Had seen other reviews about black mould so felt a little uncomfortable in the room, wasn’t always someone on reception to help with queries - the staff that i did see were very nice. was ok for 2 nights but wouldn’t rush to stay again

ROOM COVERED IN BLACK MOLD! the ceiling in my private room, and the attached bathroom was literally covered in black mold spores. and the bathroom tap was leaking constantly and tied up with a rubber band. shared space was clean and nice though!

Excellent value for money. Aircon worked well, very quiet.

The perfect stay in chiang mai. Great location and super friendly staff, so attentive! Would defo stay here again when coming back to chiang mai!

i booked a private room and it looked and felt like a prison cell. there was mould on the ceiling, didn’t feel welcoming. there is free tea, coffee and water which is nice. a bit further from the main old town centre but not too far. they give you a towel. no atmosphere, felt very deserted the whole time. they don’t run daily activities or any social events.

Not social but a decent place to stay

There were ants in my bed and I should have slept in there again according to the staff, after the anti spray was sprayed in the whole room. Fortunately, I said something and there was another bed available, but the AC didn't reach it. The bathrooms weren't really clean.

Quiet corner of the old village. Great staff! A quieter hostel and a lot of stairs if you’re not keen on that but I did enjoy my comfy stay!

Its quiet hostel but its good everything was fine

Exactly what I needed. It was cheap, had a good location, quiet, free towel. They had free coffee and free water refill. The beds had curtains for privacy. Check out early was possible! Thank you :)

Had my stuff stolen multiple times there and the manager/owner won’t do anything about it

Really lovely stay at the Lanna hostel so much so we extended our stay in Chiang Mai! Great location, great facilities (free coffee tea and water, balcony). Everything was so clean and nicely decorated modern room. Friendly staff, will be staying again!

Very cosy Hostel. Not very social but therefore quiet and chill. Exactly what we were looking for. Our private dorm had a balcony. Staff is very friendly. Would go again.

Very good, it was possible to pay by card and there was a 10% discount on each tour. The atmosphere was very quiet, there was no one in the hall, and the position was great in Chiang Mai. The room was very clean, comfortable and cheap, very recommended!

Good location, staff not around a lot but easily and quickly reached via WhatsApp. Need to take your shoes off before heading upstairs for either dorm or private rooms so it's clean. Not much atmosphere, but I actually met a lot of people hanging downstairs and in the common area on the second floor

Great hostel with great staff

the value for money of this hostel really trumps every other factor. i would rate it 9/10 just because it is such good value. there was free water botttles, towels, and coffee. i would stay here again but not for a social time
