Baan Klang Vieng Hostel

good location and clean rooms, good aircon and staff were friendly. not the most social hostel, but a relaxing stay.

Strange place. The staff were absent for our whole stay, the beds were uncomfortable, and the breakfast advertised on multiple signs around the hostel does not exist.

Really great location. Right by the center square and a lot of places are walking distance. Staff is friendly. This is a great place to just put your head down as you will want to be exploring as much as possible.

We had a nice stay but were suprised as we had booked a twin room as were shown on the pictures but instead ended up in bunk beds. I think the pictures may have been of the guest house so just be aware as the description of our room did not match what we got. Overall it was pretty clean, the people working there were very nice, it is not very noisy and the atmosphere is nice.

Lovely staff, overall basic but clean hostel and great location (all attractions walking distance) BUT the beds were a nightmare!! It felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

Perfect location, very clean and affordable, friendly staff. It's a guesthouse not a hostel so there's no socializing, if you want to meet other travellers just go hang out at Stamps 2 minutes away

I stayed at Baan Klang Vieng for 12 days and had a wonderful experience! The rooms were clean, and the shared bathrooms were always spotless. The owner is very kind, friendly, and understanding, which made the stay even better. The staff promptly cleaned my room whenever I asked. For solo travelers looking for a private room at an affordable price, this hotel is the perfect choice. Highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

Nice hostel. We even got an upgrade with a private shower, which was highly appreciated. It didn’t seem super social but it is a perfect place to stay if you just need an affordable private room to chill in. I have nothing to complain. The beds were super comfy and the hot shower was amazing!

The property has been amazing! Always clean and room well looked after by house keeping. Ning and her partner were great and very helpful on arranging trips and sightseeing around Chiang Mai.

It's incredibly simple. I thought I was getting a double room, but I got a twin. I had to walk down stairs to go to the bathroom. The beds are hard and you can hear music playing until at least 3am. I never saw anyone else there. There are far nicer places in Chiang Mai for less.

Overall I’d recommend. I didn’t like that I didn’t have any privacy in the windows as I was on the the bottom floor and the staff could see in my room. Also there were some ants. Otherwise I’d recommend. Not a social hostel FYI.

Great location. Staff really helpful. Room was very small, put into a room with bunk beds on the second floor, barely enough floor space for two backpacks but otherwise the place was nice. Communal bathroom was clean and always available.

Classy, clean and location make this place good value for money. Not social but that's good if you want a good place to sleep. Would recommend it for couples or those who need a break from craziness. The only drawback was that we lost all water pressure for a day. Though that's likely not the fault of the hostel.
