Puerto Urbano Eco Hotel

As cotos estavam um pouco diferentes do ambiente real: muita madeira entulhada e com isso na nossa hospedagem apareceram duas baratas, o que foi bastante desagradável. As roupas de cama não estavam limpas e não tinha ventilador ou ar condicionado, tive que pedir um ventilador emprestado. Foi apenas uma noite, mas não recomendo

Decent hostel, I wouldn't book again but no major complaints to note. Good for one night crash.

Wir wollten nur eine Nacht bleiben, sind angekommen und das ganze Zimmer war voller fliegender Ameisen. Auf den Betten, in den Decken überall. Es war so ekelig. Der Besitzer hat uns dann noch ein privatzimmer für den gleichen Preis angeboten. Das war zwar etwas besser, aber auch dort waren an den Wänden überall Viecher. Wir haben dann letzendlich das Hostel gewechselt, weil wir kein Auge zu bekommen hätten. Das Geld wurde trotzdem von meiner Karte abgezogen. Also überhaupt nicht zu empfehl...

Lovely hostel with great staff and a nice breakfast

The hostel was really nice! The owner and the staff were really heIpful. I came back late with the bus one evening and the owner even offered to pick me up from the station so I don’t have to walk alone in the night. The breakfast was also really good!

Convenient stay! Just around the corner from the bus station and a large súper market. Clean and has large full kitchen available to guests. Very pleasant stay.

L'hôtel n'est pas signalé à l'extérieur, et personne dans le quartier ne semble le connaître. Nous avons cherché pendant une heure. Quand ils ont enfin répondu au téléphone puis et ouvert, nous ne nous sommes pas senties en sécurité. Deux hommes étaient là, surpris et dérangés par notre arrivée, rien ne ressemblait à un hôtel. nice family and they are knowledgeable and very helpful. one feels at ease in their secured home. City bus service two blocks away. Amenities are just as they describe.

This was the first and worse hostel I have stayed in. I am in costa Rica for 6 weeks and if I could have in himsight chosen a different hostel, I would have enjoyed my stay a lot more. First the beds are infested with termites, the owner appears to be nice, but he's a liar and a thief! I couldn't stand being there anymore and left. I was promiswd a refund for the nights I had remaining and never got it! Please avoid this place for your peace of mind, I still have the pics as evidence.

flexible and helpful for airport rides event at night! The beds are not the most comfortable ones but for the price they do the job. Also very noisy at night and a window seemed kinda broken but I didn’t ask. The bathroom is clean. In the morning they serve you a delicious breakfast and all the owners are very friendly and give you the best advice. Very good to start your journey around Costa Rica.

Great location to catch public transport to the airport, walking distance grocery store and affordable food places. The host's are so nice they really make you feel at home, breakfast and coffe was excellent.

El host fue amable e informativo en el bus desde el aeropuerto, y el desayuno estuvo muy rico. Sin embargo, la limpieza fue pobre. Debajo de las sábanas, había mucha polilla y la sabana estaba manchada. También deben considerar que este lugar es smoke friendly antes de hacer tu reservación.

Perfect for one night. The Staff were all really nice and the breakfast was delicious. The beds are really basic and the enterance is quite difficult to find. For that price it’s totally fine though.

I booked a room at this hostel. When I arrived they told me that they don‘t have a bed for me. So they drove me to a different hostel where I didn‘t really feel comfortable. They made me pay way more than what was said on Hostelworld. There were only old men there and no community atmosphere. I didn‘t go out because people told me the surroundings aren‘t really safe. Luckily I took a shuttle the next morning and didn‘t have to stay longer.

We bleven 2 nachten met gezin van 5 in hostel. Handig gelegen naast stadspark, ideaal voor kinderen . Ook maar 30 minuten stappen van centrum. Supervriendelijke eigenaars die met alles wilden helpen. Ook het luchthavenvervoer ( midden in de nacht) was top!

Buena atención de la gente que vive ahí. La relación calidad/precio está muy bien

Für eine Nacht, beispielsweise vor oder nach dem Flug völlig ausreichend, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich ein anderes Hostel wählen. Ich hätte das Hostel beinahe nicht gefunden, weil es hinter einem Hohen, blickdichten Zaun liegt und auch die Klingel nicht beschriftet ist. Im Dunkeln wirkte das ganze etwas gruselig. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich. Allerdings wirkte es ein wenig ramschig, weil insbesondere im Bad viel Zeug rumstand, das scheinbar niemandem mehr gehörte.

Fine for a night, the hostel is within a family home which was fine as the family were very friendly. Breakfast ingredients were provided (rice and eggs) and we prepared our own eggs in the fairly well stocked kitchen. Room felt very basic and no lockers or storage facilities/lockable doors. The beds were uncomfortable so not the best sleep, but close (ish) to the airport and next to a big super market.
