Zostel Plus Poombarai (Kodaikanal)

The property offers a beautiful view, but there are frequent power cuts with no backup, and mobile network connectivity is poor, making it difficult to work from here. The food is tasty, but unfortunately, I and a few others did fall sick—possibly due to the food or water. location is pretty great. The cafe is pretty good too. Staff should be more accomodating towards all guest not certain individuals which is the scenario at the moment

IT dudes come and play loud music on their woofers. If you are okay with that, it is a decent place.

For the view alone, this is a hostel worth its weight in gold! Add to that beautiful clean rooms, SUPER tasty Indian cafe menu for breakfast lunch and dinner - thank you to the all the chefs. all the staff were friendly, chilled out staff who feel just like your friends. We had some lovely excursions to nearby Poombarai and Palambatoor with Thennavan. We would have stayed longer if it was not booked up. 10/10

Great hostel to unwind and find some peace.

Very neat and clean! Good hospitality by the staff! They help in suggesting activities depending on your personality and mood! Location is also ideal if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Kodaikanal. However, the road from Poombarai village to Zostel is bad. So keep that in mind. But overall had amazing two days. Evening bonfire is the highlight. Met lovely new people!

Lovely staff, amazing location, everything is brand new and clean. Also loved the tours organized by the staff. Food in the café is solid and affordable. It will be perfect if you add curtains to the dorm beds. It's a very simple step but has a huge positive effect, especially because there are many groups looking to party in this place, which can make you feel uncomfortable as a solo traveller.

Food menu can be increased since the location is offbeat. Very limited spread and taste. Frequent Electricity issue is occurring and generator operation is very delayed. Transportation is the biggest concern and not feasible for the backpackers. Otherwise the location and view are serene

Good and new Property located amidst nature !! one of the properties excellent views! All good just expected more host interaction and presence! Reaching by uusing public transport is not very very feasible due to limited buses from Kodai to Poombarai and then 400 bucks for 4kms to reach the hostel is a bit extensive! Perfect if you visit by own!! Food is superb and tasty!
